When you were growing up, did your dad ever call you "hard head"? Daddy used to call my brother "hard head" a lot!
As Poppy was getting in the truck to leave for work early this morning I could have sworn he called someone "hard head"! Surely he wasn't referring to me! But who else could it have been at 4:30 in the morning! Betcha he saw me let Eli out on the porch after he had just said, don't let Eli out on the porch. :)
What a windy windy day we had...
This afternoon, a bunch of us...actually it was me, Eli, Smokey, and Weetie played in the goat lot with Rosie. Smokey was just a little cautious.
Don't be frightened Smokey.
We played until Rosie and Asa decided they needed a little hay. Rosie feels like a soccer ball now she is so fat. She never stops eating! I can't leave any food out other than hay. If there is nothing else, she picks up little sticks and leaves and eats them.
The make-shift grooming table works fine. I could get my arms inside and brush BunBun just fine. He still has knots...what a job! He is a sweetie pie
Better get busy. I am sewing tonight...making aprons. Not much of a post here. Hope to be back soon.
Love,
Henny

Ha! ha! Look at that Smokey under the bench. Not taking any chances. :)
ReplyDeleteI hope you make lots of springy aprons, Henny! Aw, that bunny!
ReplyDeleteI've known a few hard heads in my life. Always enjoy a visit with the animals. Mr Bunny is beautiful but looks like you've got your work cut out with him. That looks like a daily job. Have you ever watched a spinner with a rabbit in her lap spinning as she pulled fur from the rabbit?
ReplyDeleteBunBun is so,so cute. My daughter had a bunny, named Bailey. They would let her out in the yard with them, and if something scared her, she would run jump in my daughter's lap and bury her face in daughter's arms.
ReplyDeletep.s. I spent about 2 hours making crumb blocks...such as the ones seen here, only the ones I am making today are little bit bigger.
ReplyDeleteCute photos ! It was windy here last night and snowy and freezing rain lol ! I do like that Bunbun he is so cute ! I have known a few hard heads in my day lol ! Oh are you making spring aprons? hope to see them when your done . Thanks for sharing , Have a good day !

ReplyDeleteWhy yes, my Daddy called someone hard head! It was usually me! HeHe! I always love visiting your teeny tiny farm!
ReplyDeleteGrace & Peace
An adorable bunny! He looks very soft. We have cute little cottontail rabbits here, and I call them bun bun, I love to see them.
ReplyDeleteHope you are getting lots of aprons sewed tonight! I don't seem to do much sewing at night. Love it that you take time to play with the animals! Nancy
ReplyDeleteNo, my dad never called me hard head, but my mother did!
ReplyDeleteGlad your grooming cage worked.
Very windy here too.
Those trees are really thrashing around! Hope the sewing time was productive:)
ReplyDeleteSo glad your grooming table worked out, that sure seems like a lot of work keeping bun buns coat knot free. It is cold and windy here again after a beautiful couple of days.
ReplyDeleteI loved the video of the guineas in the wind! Bun Bun is SO cute! I am glad that your new grooming table works well for you. Clever lady you are to make up your own!
ReplyDeleteI showed my husband your post from yesterday about the pear tree. He grew up in fruit country and does a really great job of caring for our fruit trees. Anyway, he said that your pear tree could be cut anywhere that there were buds...which could even be below where it forks out. Just make sure that you cut right above where the buds are. Hope that helps.
Have a wonderful day!
Dianna, thank you. Yes, that information on the pear tree helps a lot. I read about how to prune, but then go out and look at the tree and I'm lost. :) Please thank your husband for me.
DeleteEveryone looks so happy! Rosie is adorable.
ReplyDeleteThat's some wind! I expected to see a guinea hen go sailing by any minute.
ReplyDeleteMama, I love this post. The pictures are so sweet. And you raised me! Whatever talent and smarts I have, I got them from you. You are the best mama in the world. Love you!
ReplyDeleteThat's a pretty good wind gust! I like a good wind as long as it leaves things where they are supposed to be like roofs! BunBun looks like the perfect gentleman all groomed and spiffy. Have a blessed day!
ReplyDeleteGood job on the make shift grooming table:)
ReplyDeleteI love that you are surrounded by animals - and nature! Such peace and joy to be found at your home!
ReplyDeleteLove Bun Bun :-)
ReplyDeleteI swear I am--well, I won't say what I am. But I wanted to say last night that my husband still says I am hard headed...LOL
ReplyDeleteHey, I understand! :) Thank you Rose!
DeleteThe guineas looked like they were staying close to shelter lest they blow away.
ReplyDeleteBunBun looks very well brushed. I'm glad the grooming table idea worked so well.
My goodness, your animals are so blessed to have you for their Mommy :)
