The little Sunday post is now old news, and even Monday has come and gone.
Poppy was off work yesterday and friends, he actually met me down at the pond with a rake in his hand. Together, we finished raking the back yard all the way to the stepping stones...
Is there a picture of Poppy raking leaves? No!, but when the sun comes up this morning, I'll get a picture of our finished work...
8:05 am, and here it is...
we have visible stepping stones again, and those wild orange lilies coming up.
this path leads down hill and around the shallow end of the pond and during rainy weather, stands in water.
Gosh, I should have slept like a log last night, but no, I tossed and turned...too tired to sleep. My Fitbit showed 24,000 steps and having walked 10 miles. Raking is work!
Seems my two daughters have been discussing whether or not to take away my Fitbit...Andee said, you know Mom, like some kids have to take away their elderly parent's car, to keep them safe. They were picking at me again!
I'm thinking the cold didn't hurt the peach tree protected by the circus tent. There have been bees and even a butterfly on the blooms. Not sure about the others yet.
The weatherman shocked us by predicting freezing rain and a little snow for this coming Sunday...and 28 degrees! Seriously?
I know, too many yard pictures...I couldn't resist. Why, all the leaves are gone!
This was our Sunday walk with Eli and Weetie. Around the pond then down the road and back.
We do take his leash off to play in the back yard and on the grassy hill above the pond.
Surely I will come up with something better than the yard and the weather to post about. :) Thank you for visiting.
Love,
Henny
