My Black Hen

Last October, Lynn (from amothersjournal.com) posted a story about a baby chick.  This poor chick survived a cold, rainy night alone after an animal killed it's mother.

This could be the real Henny Penny who thought the sky was falling that dreadful night!

Let me show you her now...

Recognize "Annie fatso Beagle"?  We had company this weekend.  She heard the rooster crowing!

Love, Henny Penny

  1. Dear Henny Penny,
What a lovely before and after picture of the fluffy little black hen! I just love a good animal story that turns out happily.
We are in the last bits of winter here. It is chilly, but the undertone is warmer. Soon the huge stacks of snow piled everywhere will melt and the street washing crew will clean away all the gravel.
I'm so glad you made it an option for 'anonymous' to leave a comment. :)
AFB is a cutie, isn't she?
    Have a great day,
    Jen

    1. Dear Jen, Thank you for looking at my blog and for leaving such a nice comment. I can't even imagine having huge stacks of snow around!!! And I'm complaining about a chilly day with rain! AFB is really cute, and funny! She reminds me of a footstool - short legs and wide back!
      Thanks again,
      Henny Penny
