Let me clear this up, right now! :)

Poppy was reading my most recent post today and when he got to the part about him and the computer, he said, "Mel, your blogging friends are going to think that I stay on the computer". "You know good and well there are times when you are outside doing something that doesn't have to be done, that you could be on the computer working on your blog".

Poppy does sell on ebay and checks often to see if an item has sold...but it's my fault if I don't get to the computer...I'm such a mouse!

and seeing as I'm here anyway...

It is still too cold to hang around up at the playhouse, but wanted to show you a thing or two. Way back last summer, Linda at lindaletters.blogspot.com ( one of my favorite blogs) suggested hanging an old mirror on a wall at the playhouse. Well, I loved the idea and have looked for one every time I've been in a thrift store.

Recently in The Salvation Army store a clerk put out this yellow sun mirror. It's not old, but I kinda like it. Thank you Linda for the idea.

and the pretty hearts, I bought in Virginia when I visited my daughter Andee...and had to drive across that scary bridge and go through that underwater tunnel.

Anyhow, that's it for tonight. Poppy got four more big sweetgum logs split today and we stacked the wood on the porch to be used next winter.

Thank you friends! Hope to be back soon.

Love,
Henny

  2. Tom and I have to manage our main computer time too, but I do a lot on my little lap top to alleviate the demand.
I really like your little sun mirror.

  3. I didn't figure he did hog the computer. You all have stuff to do. I am glad those things mostly happen at different times so you both can use the computer. :)'

  5. How fun to get to see your garden playhouse again. I love the mirror! I read Linda's blog too and love to see all her fun outdoor decorations. Those hanging hearts are really cute plus you will think of your visit to Andee's every time you see them. You and Poppy do great sharing a computer. We used to share one but we each have our own now because we often want to be on at the same time. Does Poppy sell much on Ebay? I've thought about doing that but was not sure if it would be worth the trouble.
Love to you both - have a great (and I hope warm) weekend!

    1. Thank you Bonnie. Linda and her husband really do have beautiful gardens. I like her a lot. Poppy does pretty good on Ebay. He mostly sells collectibles; Nascar, sports cards, coins, etc. He enjoys it. It was snowing here at bedtime last night. 37 degrees this morning. Love to you too Bonnie.

  9. Such a tidy little corner, and now you have sunshine every day -- even when the real one's not shining!

  10. I love your potting corner Henny, so organized and inviting.
We have several computers, they have become so much cheaper to buy than our first one some twenty years ago. It makes it easier to have your own favorites and interests on your own laptop.
Keeping my fingers crossed for sunshine this week, no fun egg-hunting in the rain :)
    Hugs,

  11. I just know you're as anxious to get out to play in your playhouse as I am to putter in my garden shed. I'm almost tempted to put a small heater in there so I can work without my fingers going numb. Our Spring temperatures are below average especially at night when it goes down to a few degrees above freezing. We'll all be so happy for warm sunshine!!

  12. Your playhouse area is so pretty. I am sure that you are smiling each and every time that you go out there. What a fun place for potting, and gardening or just sitting and enjoying. That mirror is perfect, too . . . I like the sun shape :)

Oh Henny, I love your new sunny mirror and the beautiful hearts that you got in Virginia. They will remind you of how fast your heart was beating when you were driving through that scary underwater tunnel! Your playhouse is really shaping up! Hope warmer weather comes to you soon!

I spend so much time cleaning up after my inside pets and well...I'm just going to own it...I spend an obscene amount of time online!

    Grace & Peace,

  18. HA ha, when there is one computer in the household, it is hard to get off and let others on. Just love your playhouse and area! So sweet and charming!

  19. I love your newest additions to the playhouse----the sun mirror is especially cute and appropriate. Surely one day it will get warm enough to really go out and play. Weird weather here---58 and sunny yesterday, 30 today with rain through the morning and snow and sleet this afternoon. Poor little jonquils I feel sorry for them.

    1. Very weird weather! We got snow overnight and 37 degrees this morning. Up and down! I was looking at the jonquils yesterday how beat down and pitiful looking. Maybe warm sunny weather will get to us all soon. Thank you Vic.

  22. I love your little playhouse, Henny. It is so cute. The mirror is very pretty. I finally got around to catching up on posts and enjoyed your last few. The chickadee pulling out the stuffing was so funny. Aren't they the best birds. I love them. It's still too cold and we still have snow on the ground so no grass to enjoy yet. Our birds are starting to nest, though. I'm really hoping they choose a few of our seven birdhouses this spring. I am back at the wood-lot scratching my head trying to figure out how on earth Peter Rabbit will hide eggs if we still have snow. He's arriving here on Friday for the grandittles so he better wear a toque.

  23. Your playhouse is cute and VERY TIDY! It's fun to collect odds and sods to add to it isn't it? I'm doing lots of buying, and some selling, on our local bidding wars. It is a very active site and it's like 24 hour thrift store shopping for me ;-)

  26. The mirror is perfect, it fits right in with it's surroundings. I had to laugh at your husband's comment, my husband always reads my blog too. Have a great week.

  27. I love your playhouse! How have I not seen it before? Is it your potting shed too? It looks like a fun place to escape to, plus when you find new goodies at the thrift store, and you have NO room in the house for them ... they go to the playhouse! :) Delightful. I think I may need one ....

  28. Soooo cute, I love your little 'playhouse' - it has really come together so nicely!! Looks like summer there compared to here....sigh, we're still buried in snow.

  29. Hahaha...Poppy is funny, Just think...he could be the one outside working instead of you and then you'd have lots of time on the computer. :-) I love your playhouse, dear one. And the mirror is a cheerful addition. I keep showing it to my husband, but he doesn't seem to take the hint. lol xx

  30. We have three Rose of Sharon bushes in our backyard and one in the front. The three in the back produce glorious blooms but the one in the front never has. It seems to set the buds but they never burst open and flower. Still looks pretty out there, so we leave it alone!
