Another Apology

Can you believe that I posted about our cold freezing weather!!!

We just watched National News and honestly, in Boston, the flooding, and snow, and high winds were unbelievable! Not only Boston but the entire Northeast.  Oh my gosh!! The blizzard conditions, and high winds causing power outages!

I sure am sorry for posting about us and our poor animals in this cold weather. Why, I'm sure it would feel like a heat wave here compared to that horrible winter storm up north, and how about those awful ice storms in Canada!

Hope the sun shines, and the weather warms up a little for  you all.

Love,
Henny

  1. Don't apologize! I'm sure, like myself, you feel as if you are as cold as they are in those other places. I live in the center of the US and we are not accustomed to such cold weather, as what we've had, so it feels worse than other's probably think it is. I'm sure those in the north feel the same way when the temps are not what they are used to.

    Grace & Peace,
    Pam

Yes, it looks like it is bitterly cold in most of the country. We have had below zero temps here day and night for the past two weeks...but.....it is supposed to start warming up this Sunday! Can't wait. I'm hoping and praying the same will be true for everybody else too. Maybe we can crawl out of this deep freeze we've been in. Blessings to you Henny, and everybody in your house and outside too.

  3. I'm sorry for the people in the northeast, I don't know how they do it every year knowing winter is coming. Sometimes we don't even get a winter, so this year seems extra cold.

  4. It's all relative Henny, I found living for 3 years near Chicago that people in cold climates know how to dress warm and the cities and towns have all the equipment they need to clear the roads up quickly. The worst condition I've seen was when New Orleans got an inch of snow and people were crashing into one another! That was back in the early 70's when I lived in Mississippi near New Orleans.

  5. I'm a little worried about our son and daughter in law who live in Boston. Haven't heard from them online, and wondering if their power is out :( I'm eager to hear.

  6. I just saw a post by my niece on Facebook, from the Boston area. She is a teacher and was glad to know the night before that school would be closed another day. I think my Boston area family will be OK, but will get down to zero Saturday night, if the forecast holds. My blog friend in Minnesota is experiencing temps as low as -40 with wind. That is deadly.

  7. No need to apologize. I live in west central Minnesota, and we've had a lot of below zero temps. But 10 degrees above feels cold too, even here. Stay inside after caring for your animals. Hope they are ok. Soon we'll have a January thaw. Phil, Eagle Bend, MN.

  9. You have nothing to apologise for, Henny. What is happening in the Northeast has no bearing on how hard it is for you to do what needs doing where you are. It does give you pause to say a prayer, and to thank God for your blessings. But of course you know this, so I apologise if I spoke out of turn.
    Be safe and God bless.

  10. I've always heard that the worst winter weather comes right after the winter solstice and it seems to be true especially this year.

  13. No need to apologize. It's cold here too. -2 degrees this morning. Feels like -18.

  14. It is all relative to what you are used too. Up north people are more prepared because they have learned to deal with it.

  15. Hi Henny Penny, I am sure we are just tired of the cold even though it is not as bad as some. Coco and I miss getting out for our walks but spring will soon be here. Take care! Nancy
