Playhouse/Potting Shed...Dream come true!

Come on in, the door's open...

Gosh, really there is no time for a post. It's almost noon, Poppy just left for work, and I've simply got to sweep and mop the kitchen floor, vacuum the house, and clean the living room carpet! Simply got to!

However, I really really wanted to show you the playhouse...

We actually made the two eight foot fence panels into a ten foot back wall and a six foot side wall.

I've been gathering boards and bricks and things to build shelves. More stuff will make it prettier. Decorating is the best part!

Just this morning I said to Poppy, "I've got to decide where to put my little wood stove". "What wood stove", he asked. "The little wood stove I am looking to buy". "Don't you remember", I asked...

"in the little picture how the lady likes a spot of tea to ward off the chill, and her little wood-burning stove does just the trick"?

Here you can see both sides. Adding the fence panels sure toned down that long legged tower, didn't it. All this happiness, and from two 35.00 fence panels. The playhouse of my dreams.

You know what else would be nice? A pretty little garden table with two small chairs. Oh my!

Okay, I'm off the get the mop and a bucket of soapy water. Hope to be back here soon.

Love,
Henny

  17. I can feel the excitement all the way to Ontario. I understand fully how this little potting shed/playhouse is so special. It looks so cute, henny. I know you are going to spend a lot of 'me' time in there. 😀 how fun it would be to join you for tea. Audrey thinks you need a playhouse cat. Have fun.

  18. This is great! It makes me happy for you; my flower beds will have to make it own their own this first part of summer because of the eye surgery, but I'm making plans for next summer. :)

  19. You did it! You did it! With just a little help from Poppy. Hooray for you! It looks just perfect. And yes, it is really interesting how that little bit of wall makes all the difference in the long legged tower. You will have so much fun hunting for the little wood stove and other cute things to dress up that enclosure .

  21. Oh Henny! I love it! You do realize that every woman who reads here is now going to want a playhouse, don't you? What I want to know is are we on our own or is Poppy going to help us with ours, too? haha I think I already know the answer to that one...but just for fun, why don't you ask him. Tell him the woman in WV wants to know. :)

It is beautiful and I couldn't be happier for you! How did you get that door open with that chicken stepping up in the first picture? THAT should be made into a calender!

Hope you are having a good day today. I'm off to make some rhubarb pineapple jam!

    Hugs to you my friend.

  23. Forget the housework!! Go play in your playhouse before it is time for the snow to fly. You can scrub floors then! I love the pink color there in the flower pot! Best wishes on finding your little stove! Nancy
