I'm leaving...on a jet plane! Not really, but I am leaving at noon today in my 1998 Toyota Corolla. Going north to Virginia to see my daughter Andee. Then Andee and I are going to see my granddaughter Madison at her college.
Poppy will be here alone with just the animals to keep him company. I've pointed out where the groceries are kept, and where he will find a spoon and fork. :) Hopefully, he won't starve before I can get back on Sunday.
Good gosh!! Be sure to tell him where you keep the cat food!
My biggest worry is having to cross that long Monitor-Merrimack Bridge and tunnel in Virginia...
Bridges and tunnels scare me and this one gives me goosebumps just looking at the picture!
Okay, hope to be back soon.
Love,
Henny
I wish you an uneventful journey and a happy time with your family. That picture makes me shudder.
ReplyDeleteHave a safe trip!
ReplyDeleteHave a wonderful time!
Enjoy!!!!
And if "Poppy" can't find something, I'm sure he will "improvise". -grinnnnn-

Eli and company look less than thrilled about this new development! I'm totally sure they will live through it though. I've been across that bridge/tunnel thing and I was not comfortable doing it either. Have a fun trip and take lots of photos to share please.
ReplyDeleteYay for a getaway!
ReplyDeleteYou'll be safe and share joy! Always a plus!
Oh what fun to have a visit with family. That tunnel would give me pause as well, but I know that you will sail through safe and sound. Have a good trip!
ReplyDeleteI can deal with bridges, but one turning into a tunnel would scare me. I hate tunnels.
ReplyDeleteHave fun, be safe, and remember to take pictures! LoL
ReplyDeleteGrace & Peace
Pam
Have a safe trip and a wonderful time, Henny!
ReplyDeleteHave a wonderful time Henny! We will be thinking about you. Looking forward to the photos.
ReplyDeleteRobin
Have a wonderful time away, always nice to catch up with family and create some wonderful memories.
ReplyDeleteEnjoy your journey! Have a great visit with your daughter. I'm sure hubby and the kitty will do fine. Your bridge reminds me of the Chesapeake Bay Bridge Tunnel I traveled years ago. A long bridge and part under water in a tunnel. I'm not sure I really enjoyed that much!
ReplyDeleteHave a wonderful, safe trip Henny !
ReplyDeleteClose your eyes when you go over the bridge, unless of course you are the drive....lol
Poppy will hold the fort, he has lots of help :)
Hugs,
~Jo
Have a wonderful time and tell sweet Andee" I said hello. Poppy should be fine he can always eat out.
ReplyDeleteLove you bunches.
I hope you have a great trip and enjoy it. Your kitty sure is a pretty animal.
ReplyDeleteOh, Henny, you are sooooo brave. I could never drive across/under that. Even your photo makes my knees weak. I'm sure Poppy will figure things out when his stomach starts to growl and the cat starts winding around his legs. Hope you have fun!
ReplyDeleteThe picture of the bridge disappearing into the water gives me chills. You are a brave Henny Penny but I suppose if you want to see Andee you have to bits the bullet and do it. Safe journey and have fun.
ReplyDeleteHave a wonderful time. At least Poppy has all the animals to keep him company.
ReplyDeleteI haven't been on that tunnel/bridge but have been many times over the Chesapeake Tunnel Bridge. It too disappears in the water like that.
Gee...I haven't visited you for a while! I sure hope you have a wonderful trip. And just so you know, I have actually crossed this amazing bridge before. You don't even realize you are driving under water...I swear :)
ReplyDeleteA safe trip to you. God bless you all!
ReplyDeleteHave a safe trip... enjoy it 😀
ReplyDeleteHave a good trip and visit.
ReplyDeleteHave fun...and got to ask this...how many miles on your Corolla?
ReplyDeleteHave a great trip!
ReplyDeleteThat bridge/tunnel is an engineering marvel!
Have a safe trip and a nice time. I am sure poppy will get along just fine with Eli's help! I don't like bridges and tunnels either! Nancy
ReplyDeleteThat would scare me too, have a safe trip
ReplyDeleteOH Henny your trip sounds like such fun! Don't worry about a thing....just relax and enjoy it all. I predict that everything will go just fine and that you'll make great memories. Can't wait to hear all about it when you get back.
ReplyDeleteI hope you have a wonderful and safe trip. Mothers and daughters really do need to visit...often! Hopefully, we will hear all about your trip when you get back home.
ReplyDeleteHave a fun trip. I think I will close my eyes as you head over the bridge and thru the tunnel.
ReplyDelete;-)

Have a great time and a safe journey and make lots of pictures for us ok?
ReplyDeleteThat is one huge good looking dog! As for your trip, I'm sure they that remain home will miss you and appreciate you even more when you get back. Have a wonderful time! And that bridge and tunnel does look a bit daunting. (Reminds me of the chunnel between London and Paris... I closed my eyes thru that one, but then, I wasn't driving).
ReplyDeleteThat bridge and tunnel look awful and I am glad I don't have to go there. Eli is such a HUGE dog! So beautiful and I love your kitty too.
ReplyDeleteShirley H.
Oh my goodness goosebumps the size of golf balls!
ReplyDeleteHave a fun visit :)
Awww! Wish I were riding with you. My son and family live in Va Beach. I have been through those tunnels as well. They are not too bad. There are cameras all around. You will be safer in the tunnels than outside as a tornado went over there this morning. :) No kidding! Be safe! Your pets are so wonderfully beautiful. I absolutely love your blog!!!!!! You live an interesting life.
ReplyDeleteHave a wonderful trip! They guys don't look impressed with you leaving them to fend for themselves ;-)
ReplyDeletepopping over from Diana's blog and saying hi! I'm thrilled the two of you met :) Internet and blogging are two of the greatest inventions.
ReplyDeleteHave a wonderful trip! Enjoy!! :)
ReplyDeleteBridges and tunnels give me the goosebumps too. Hope you are having a great time and hope Poppy is doing ok without you!
