Dear friends,

Oh my goodness! Did my "cuteness" post seem a little strange and maybe unfinished? Well, here's what happened...

I was bound and determined to post something today, especially after receiving the picture of my friend's sweet granddaughter. She was wearing the bonnet I made for her when she was just a baby and the apron I had made for her grandmother.

Anyhow, I started my blog post early then left the computer to get the usual chores done. Somehow I managed to work for three solid hours on the bunny lot, then pulled out the mower and mowed for two hours.

Just sat down here for a minute to work on my special post and realized it was published hours ago!  Good gosh!  😕

I thank you for the nice comments.

Love,
Henny

  2. What a sweet little post. Love the bonnet and apron and the crazy dust too! Who cares about dusting? It's spring, we have better things to do! I hadn't seen the earlier post because I've been sitting in the backyard knitting and enjoying listening to the birds.
    Blessings,
    Betsy

Your friends granddaughter is ever so cute! I love that she has a bunbun.
Our area is looking a lot like your March photo. I love seeing Spring pop out!

  5. Hi Henny...lol you are just so busy all the time no need to explain. I am just catching up tonight on posts so hadn't read any earlier. That darling little girl with your bonnet on could easily be your grand-daughter. She looks like a mini you. And how sweet that she named her bunny after little Bun-Bun.
I love all the greenery at Henny Penny Lane. We only have buds on our trees. My daffodils finally bloomed today and when raking I discovered many more plants that are soon to open.
We have plowed and tilled our garden and now we have to wait for it to warm up to plant.

Hope you are enjoying these quiet days at home since our world has gone mad. I'm thinking a hair cut will be first on my to do list when this finally ends. And breakfast out with my grands, too. :-) How about you? What's the first thing you want to do when we finally are free?

I know you love it, though. That's a wonderful thing.
Yay for your lovely aprons. I would like to make an apron and I just might.

  15. Happy Belated Mother's Day! I'm amazed at all the roses you have blooming. We have no roses blooming yet here, but the first peony opened up yesterday, just in time for the rain, too bad!

  16. Hello there, this is my first comment. Found your blog a couple of years ago from Granny Marigolds blog. Love your blog and Grannys. I live in the state of Washington, out in the country on a beautiful river. Love country living, had lived on a mountain for 10 years prior to moving here near the coast 34 years ago when I met my hubby. Love all your pictures you post of your beautiful home and scenic land. We have a good friend who grows horseradish. Comes up every year in his garden and lots of it! He cuts the roots into like 2 or 3 inchlong slivers about half inch or so wide, puts one in each quart of his dill pickles. Makes them crunchy with a little spicy bite, he is known for his pickles, they are the best!! Enjoy your blog...stay safe.
