Cuteness

A very special online friend sent me a picture of her granddaughter I've simply got to share with you...
Isn't she adorable? She and her grandma had been busy planting vegetables in big pots. Oh, and her bunny's name is "BunBun", named after my bunny.

Here's proof, I need to be wearing those new expensive bifocal glasses of mine. Have you ever seen so much dust! Maybe I'll pull out the dust rag tomorrow.

Well, this is tomorrow! We'll see about dusting later.

This picture was taken in early March...
and I was so excited to see a little spring green.

This picture was taken last week...
Now this is green! But we still aren't having spring-like weather. Cool, Cloudy, and showers of rain! That's it! Last night around 9:00 we had an unexpected thunderstorm with lots of rain.

Remember this bird feeder I bought and posted about last year...
well, two little wrens have say it's not a feeder, it's a birdhouse...
It took lots of moss and straw and bits of Eli's hair, and lots of work to fill in the big hole in the back. But you know those tiny little wrens, they sing the loudest and work the hardest.

  1. What an adorable little girl and it looks like she is wearing one of your bonnets and aprons. How cute that she named her bunny after BunBun! You are sure a popular blogger Henny! But then I always knew that. I love seeing the difference in the two pictures of your lovely house. The Spring green is definitely in full now. Those little wrens must have really loved that feeder to tranform it into their house. Maybe they are planning a big family! Take good care Henny! Love ya!

  2. Wrens insist on building nests in the little bins in the garage my husband uses to store nuts, bolts, nails, etc. They'll get in there and throw the nails out all over the garage floor. Funny but sort of annoying too. My dentist had a pair that built a nest in the pocket of some bib overalls that were hanging on his porch. Never know with them

  3. How fun to have wrens in your wren feeder/house! Is that sweet little girl wearing a Henny Penny bonnet? She is cute. I’m sorry about your weather. We have had such a lovely cool spring, not hot at all yet, and I’m so thankful for that.

  4. My but everything turned green fast around your place. I guess it doesn't have to be that warm for growth to happen.
Do you know what kind of wren you have? I noticed that a male Bewicks wren has been sitting on one of the birdhouses on our fence and singing away. I hope that means they'll nest there.

  5. Spring greening is just the best! It's nice to see that you have such a sweet little fan of your lifestyle.
And how exciting that the wrens have claimed your feeder as a house! I love those little birds. We have some nesting in a bird bottle we got many years ago in Williamsburg. They return every year.

  8. Aww, she is precious! My husband and I were just remarking how quickly the trees go from a little green to a whole lotta green. So pretty around here now. I guess the wrens have spoken... a house it is. At least this year :). So cute.

  9. Love the green up too! Our backyard which has basically been given over to the ferals looks so green and lush right now. And happy to hear that the wrens have converted the bird feeder into a bird house.

  10. i bet Eli's hair makes for a really soft nest lining. He's good for more than a few things, isn't he.

Along with a 'Jolly Golly' as were not allowed
to call them 'Golly Wogs' anymore..And, believe
it or not..l still have said 'Jolly Golly'..

Very clever of those little wrens, l suppose
they had to block one of the holes, because
of the draft..perhaps Henny..you should have
made a little curtain for them..HeHe! Bless!

    Well.."Onwards and Upwards"..popped out yesterday,
third time in four weeks, few groceries needed...
Have to go out Friday, pick up a prescription..
other than that, l'm locked up..Oh! No! Sorry!
Lockdown..Keeping busy, not one for getting bored!
The Privet hedge needs cutting, so must get on
    and do that..!
    So..Hope everyone's o.k. Stay safe..And..Stay Happy!

  14. My wrens just got back here a week ago and are investigating the 2 new houses my husband
put out in early April. Dumperoo looks comfy with a lovely dolly!
How nice to see the lovely little garden helper in such a cute outfit.
I bought my annuals today, now need to see what the forecast is for frost in May, as it always is.

  17. Hi Henny, how are you holding up? The panic has subsided for me, these last few days, but I'm not sure if this means I'm calm or just avoiding reality. I think I see a forsythia in bloom, in the before shot? Very pretty. I love how green, green can be! It's very energizing. The little girl is adorable, she looks such a little lady and I'm glad she's spending time with her Gran and the vegetable garden. They're creating good memories those two. I just read your reply to my previous comment and I hope Lynn's mask fit Poppy well. Hope your back is feeling ok and that you get lots of joy from those little wrens! Blessings πŸ€—

  18. Aww, that's a sweet little home for some baby birds :) I agree about the dust. It's not going anywhere, and tomorrow is always a good time to dust! That ... or just before company! The photo of the little girl in the bonnet is so sweet. Did you sew that one?
