Even got this old worn out lace tablecloth washed and put back on the table this morning. Added the fruit bowl too.
and speaking of Shelby, Jimmy, and Andee, here's a picture (taken a few years ago) of them, including Todd, Andee's husband. left to right is Jimmy, Todd, Andee, and Shelby
Shelby and Jimmy are in Seattle on a little vacation. Shelby won't be here on Tuesday, so Andee (my daughter) is driving down from Virginia to go with me. I absolutely could go alone, but they insist you must have someone drive you home after the injection. Having Andee come home makes any occasion special! My plan is to go in the Goodwill store, after we're done, as there is one right across the highway from Orthopedic Specialists. Won't that be something...and Andee will be with me!
Something else bothering me. Last Sunday, April 10th was my sweet sweet Granddaughter Madison's birthday. She turned eighteen and will be going away to college next fall. Madison is Andee and Todd's daughter. I had planned to post about her on Sunday but got off on something else...who knows what! So again, happy birthday Maddie!
Senior pictures have changed a lot since I was in school. I looked like a total idiot in my senior picture. The night before we were to have our pictures taken, I decided to cut myself bangs...and cut them way too short. Then I decided to squint my eyes because, well, people whose eyes smile when they smile are pretty. It didn't work on me. Kids are much smarter these days too. :)
Good gracious, is there anything left to talk about here! You all probably signed off a while back. If not, thank you. Hope to be right back here soon.
Love,
Henny
I hope the shot and the trip go well.
ReplyDeleteThank you Gail!
DeleteHappy Birthday to your Maddie!! She is a beauty! Our Maddie will be eighteen tomorrow! Yes Senior Photos have changed a bit. I hope your shot goes okay and gives you some relief:)
ReplyDeleteThank you! Happy birthday to your Maddie. Funny how we both have granddaughters named Madison, both eighteen and have birthdays so close.
DeleteHappy Birthday to Maddie!! I can not believe she is already 18!! Wow where does time go. She is so pretty!! Hope that the shot makes you feel like you are 20 again!
ReplyDeleteLove you !
I agree Vicki! I sure enjoyed talking to you yesterday! Love you!
DeleteIf the shot makes you feel like you're 20 again, make an appointment for me!!
ReplyDeleteShelby!! You found a way to leave a comment! Don't worry. I will! :)
DeleteYou are certainly blessed with a beautiful Grandaughter. Hope the shot goes well and you will soon be pain free, do take care and don't get silly about catching up with your jobs.
ReplyDeleteThank you! She is very sweet too!
DeleteYou have a beautiful granddaughter! Yes, don't try to catch everything up in one day after your shot. Do be careful! Nancy
ReplyDeleteThank you Nancy. I do need to remember that!
DeleteShelby's right you can't catch up in just a day or two. Also the shot may take away the pain but the herniated disks are still there so you need to try to remember not to do too much too soon! I just love to give unsolicited advice!
ReplyDeleteThank you Vic. Oh believe me, I need and appreciate good advice and hope you won't go anywhere.
DeleteMaddie is very pretty and I love her long hair. Happy Birthday to Maddie.
ReplyDeleteYes, senior pictures sure have changed!!
Thank you. :)
DeleteSo glad your back is better and hope the shot makes it even better. You certainly have a good looking family.
ReplyDeleteI appreciate that! Thank you!
DeleteI like how you prettied up the table. My old oil lamp had sludge in the bottom so my DH used gas to soften it and get it shining like new.
ReplyDeleteI hope your granddaughter had a great birthday. She sure is pretty.
Take care... and like everybody keeps telling you..... TAKE IT EASY.
Thank you. I love old oil lamps but they are hard to keep clean. The globe has to be washed in soapy water to look good and then there is usually water spots. They are pretty anyway, aren't they.
DeleteDo what they say and take it easy. Keep moving.
ReplyDeleteThank you Red. Yes, keep moving is the most important thing.
DeleteSenior pictures have changed a lot it seems. Ours were more like mugshots with smiles, LOL. I like the new trend. :) Do take care of yourself and don't overdo.
ReplyDeleteThank you Leigh. Mugshots, that's exactly what ours looked like! :)
DeleteYou have a beautiful family! I hope the shot works magic and you can be back to your normal activities soon. The reward of a good thrift store shop should be fun.
ReplyDeleteThank you Cynthia. I am so ready to get back to work!
DeleteHappy Birthday to Madison!
ReplyDeleteMy husband gets shots for his back. The first two times they didn't work. He got a new doctor and they have worked every time since. Sometimes they take a day or two to take. The anesthetic they use to give the shots gives some relief, too. He has pinched discs in his lower back, so he knows what you are going through.
I always have to drive him because of the anesthetic.
Have a safe trip. Hope the shot works wonders for you! God bless!
Thank you Linda. Oh gosh, I am sorry to hear that your husband has this problem too. I will sure be more sympathetic and understanding to anybody suffering back pain after going through this myself. Thank you. I dread the shot. It helps to know others have survived!
DeleteGorgeous pictures of a gorgeous girl, wow! Hope your injection works wonders, I can imaging you chomping at the bit.
ReplyDeleteThank you Karen. Chomping at the bit is right...that's funny. Hope your knee is better.
DeleteYour granddaughter looks like a supermodel!! She's absolutely gorgeous!! Good luck on Tuesday - here's hoping for no more pain!
ReplyDeleteThank you so much. She is such a sweet kind girl too. Hope your back is well. I've got to catch up on blog posts. I'm behind again. :)
DeleteGood luck tomorrow with your shot. Chuck had one in his shoulder and it helped quite a bit for some time.
ReplyDeleteLovely grand-daughter!
Thank you Robin. I didn't realize how many people have had these injections. It must help. I sure hope it helps me.
DeleteYou and Maddie are lovely looking ladies , Happy Birthday to her to . I hope all goes well on Tuesday .
ReplyDeleteI appreciate that! Thank you so much!
DeleteI remember those ghastly senior pictures! Mine had the funny stole thing draped over my shoulders like I was in a church choir! The ones today are so much more fun. I'm so glad to hear that your back is feeling better. I hope the injection helps like you are hoping.
ReplyDeleteMAMA, please post the picture of you with SHORT BANGS.
ReplyDeleteYour best and oldest and most difficult child,
Lynn
Oh drats Lynn, I was just going to ask please, please, please post that picture!
