A man and his dog...and his dog's teddybear

Had to laugh. Just who is this big dog loyal to. His master or his teddy bear? Poppy looks like he is not sure either. Poppy looks tired after his first day back to work.

I've been shopping for a big colorful ball to throw over into the goat lot for Eli to play with. So far I haven't found a ball that looks sturdy enough. This cheap Frisbee lasted about five minutes. As soon as it was out of the shopping bag and tossed into the living room  Eli bit two holes in it...

This is Friday night, salad night, and Poppy's night to work til 7:00. Everything is ready and in the frig for the salads.

By the way...I may soon be watching Jane Eyre and those other VCR movies. Look at this nice little TV/VCR listed for sale on Craigslist. If nothing happens, I plan to pick it up tomorrow. It supposedly is in excellent condition and does look to be...

It has Henny Penny written all over it! Perfect for the sewing room.

This cold cold weather needs go away. My hands are so very rough and dry and chapped. Why, the chickens feet don't look as dry and cracked as my hands do right now.

Hope we all have some warm sunny days soon. I also hope to be back soon.

Love,
Henny

  1. Tell us more about salad night. What are your standard ingredients?

  2. Your dog looks so cute with his teddy bear. We have salad nights sometimes, too. If only I didn't overdo it on the dressing.

Thanks for visiting and following me today. Now, I'm following you, too. I look forward to getting to know you. Have a blessed day... :)

  3. Maybe take a tape with you to test the built in VCR. I hope it all works great! I tell you Eli and Keeper could be twins, I know said that before LOL They are both such big white GP's .. not all are ... LOL Keeper loves his rabbit like Eli loves his teddy bear. They are hard to find toys for as they are strong LOL.

    1. I've told my husband the same thing about Eli and Keeper. They are so much alike. I think we probably have the two best white GP's around, except for big Hank over at Punkin's Patch. I saw a big floppy rabbit in a thrift shop and meant to pick it up before leaving. Of course I forgot to do that. Sure hate it because it was gone the next time I went in.

  4. Be careful if you go for the TV/VCR. Bad things have been happening to people who go to meet with someone that has something to trade. You should be sure to meet in a public place and out in the open or at a police station. Just to be safe.

    1. I know. It is scary. I talked to the lady and she sounds nice. She offered to meet me half way at the mall. It would be an hour drive for me to go to Cary, where she lives. I appreciate you thinking about me.

  5. I recommend putting coconut oil on your rough parts. It's only greasy til it soaks in. Thanks for dropping in on my post about Whole Fooding your face. It works for other parts too.

  6. We have not been able to find a large ball that survives Chance..he puts holes in them too. Eli looks like maybe the bear wins! That TV/VCR looks great and just perfect for you! :)

    1. The big balls at Walmart for 3.88 probably wouldn't make it to the goat lot! I hope to get the TV today.

  8. We use a basket ball with Luna. If it is kept pumped up hard, she can't get her teeth into it, because it is too big. Leroy may be able to, since he is bigger, but we get them for a dollar or two at the thrift stores. Even one that she has that is a bit soft, she can grab it enough to carry it , but it still is in one piece.
Too bad we aren't closer, I have a tv like that with the VCR that you could have! I second the coconut oil. It is good for you internally too:)

  10. A basketball would be perfect. Thank you. If we were closer I would surely appreciate that TV/VCR. I plan to look for coconut oil and a basketball today.

  12. What a great find, I am hoping all goes well with collecting the TV/VCR and that it works OK, brilliant for watching all those old movies. I just love seeing pictures of Eli with his bear.
