No Lint Balls here!

I was up and down that ladder dusting, sneezing, and washing bottles almost all day Thursday. Can't help but feel proud. Look at the shine on this side of the room...

Up on that ladder it was easy to see the dust and cobwebs on everything! I took down all the curtains and put them in the washer. There was sunshine and a breeze. Perfect for drying...

Would you just look at the difference! I can't let it get this bad again. Poppy, on his way to the woods, suggested we box up all this stuff and sell it when we have a yard sale.

I'm telling you! Time flies! Yesterday was spent buying groceries, picking up prescriptions and feed for the animals. I also stopped by Lowes and bought five more T-posts for my fence building project. Today was spent building Bun Bun a bigger house. So, there has been no time to read my favorite blogs and no time to reply to the nice comments on my last post. We simply need more hours in the day.

Just have to post one more picture of Eli and Smokey with their faces nearly touching...

Better get off this computer. Thank you for visiting.

Love,
Henny

  1. I know it is a proud feeling when you get your house clean and shiny but if only it would stay like that for more than a few days. Dust and cobwebs seem to appear at my house overnight. Me and the Farmer has been saying the same thing that there is not enough time in a day to get anything done. I really don't like this daylight savings time.
    Love you

It gives such a lot of satisfaction to get a job like that done and see the difference?

    1. Thank you! Seems it's never ending. Get one area cleaned then the other rooms need cleaning out. I still like your idea of carrying off or donating a bag a day!

Eli and Smokey are good friends, from the look of that picture.

  7. There is nothing like a job well done and everything is spick and span. I too am in the middle of a cleaning frenzy.

  8. You have me questioning my "collections" these days. It is amazing the dust we miss because it's there everyday and just seems to fade in the background until we're forced to see it up close. I'm trying to take a closer look these days and delete what isn't needed. Three trips to Goodwill recently and still not done.

    1. You know, that's what I want to do. I have donated several boxes lately. You really don't miss the stuff once it's gone.

  11. And see? That's another benefit of blogging. Before, we'd dust and clean and the rest of the family would likely not even notice.
Now we can post the results on line to share our happiness at a job well done.
Kudos to you for showing the "before" picture. It makes the rest of us in our dusty houses feel better.

  12. It seems to me I remember Poppy suggesting you sell some things when you cleaned the shed a while back. It's so refreshing to hear from someone who is not attached to his stuff!

  14. Sparkly, shiny, and I love the art in the first photo! I bet you are tired from going up and down that ladder. That's a lot of bottles to wash and put back.

  15. Such a feeling of accomplishment when a job like that is done. I too would be constantly looking up there and admiring the sparkle. And then we all vow that we are going to keep it up, never let it get like that again, and before you know it, we are back where we started:(
