Lynn's little shop, "Sidetracked"

After getting home from seeing Lynn on Sunday, my tooth started hurting.  Throbbing pain! Isn't it always something!! I called the dentist yesterday and was sitting in his office at 9:15 this morning. The dentist pulled that tooth and said it was shattered in my gum, down to the nerve. No wonder it was hurting. Thank goodness that's over! That was my last jaw tooth on the bottom. I've been wanting to stop eating. This should help.

About Lynn's shop! This child has found her calling! Having a little shop is something she has always wanted.

Lynn rented this little red caboose that sits parked inside an antiques village near where she lives.

She has filled this little caboose with treasures. If there had been room enough to set up a cot in the back, I would have moved in. It's warm, it's cozy, and you know how a caboose looks with the square box that sits on top with windows...well the sun pours in through those little windows, warming the shop.

Lynn does altered couture and is really good at it. Why, I wanted to buy all of her clothes except maybe the fancy white dress on the left. She loves hats. Lots of hats in the shop.

I am having a terrible time with pictures lately! Honestly, pictures are simply disappearing and I am now beginning to wonder if it's all me!

We left the shop and went by Lynn's apartment and were met at the door by Vlad...

 and Lucy...

well no, maybe this one is Lucy...

or this one...these kitties look so much alike!

Okay, I am totally giving up on this tonight. Some pictures are showing up, some are not. Maybe I lost more than a tooth from my head this morning.

Thank you for looking in. Hopefully I will be back tomorrow. This computer and I are both shutting down for the night. :)

Love,
Henny

  2. It is not just you having photo disappearing problems. Mine are as well. They download then disappear. My DIL has said she'll find them.... and she probably will... making me feel even more like a dummy.

I like black and white cats. We used to have cats, the last was a lovely B & W one who ran away when we first got a dog. He came by one day to check if that beast was still around and when he saw that it was, he left for good. I missed him.

    1. I wasted most of the day yesterday trying to figure out again how to move a picture from our Yahoo mail to my blog. I got two moved and sure hope I remember how today. :) That is odd how the cat stopped by and left again. Aren't animals funny!

  4. Sorry about your tooth! I need to go have a few teeth fixed myself but I hate all dentist and the cost. What happened to the days when you had health insurance and it covered all of your health including teeth and eyes? I love Lynn's shop. It is so cute and I know she has so much pride in it! Love you both!

  5. Glad to hear you've sorted your tooth troubles out Henny, there's nothing worse than an aching tooth :(
Your beautiful daughter has created a shop of treasures, if only I lived close by, I could have a little look around, and carry home a few of those gorgeous blouses.
She must have the talent gene from you, are you sure she doesn't have a little farm outback ?
    Beautiful kitties.

  6. I love the little caboose shop! Wish I was closer because I am sure I would be Lynn's best customer! Glad you got that tooth out! I've had horrible teeth most of my life so I know the pain they can cause.

  10. What a wonderful little shop! I truly hope it's a success for her. I love hats too and think it a shame that they are no longer "stylish" for every day use.

Glad you're feeling better. Tooth pain can be so draining.

  12. Oh, you make me laugh, Henny. You have such a wit. I think you daughter has found her calling for sure. I would purchase that sign with the crow if I didn't live a world away. Take care of yourself. You are to rest after dental work, ya know. ;-) Deb xx

    1. Hey Deb. Thank you! Lynn painted that picture with the crow. She has sold a few of her paintings. I have been sorta taking it easy...mostly because of the weather. :)

  13. So glad you found a fairly quick (although I'm sure it didn't seem quick) resolution to your tooth issues.
Just think - you now have the hollow cheeks of a high fashion model!

  15. It's good that you were able to get in to the dentist so quickly and get some relief right away.

Nice to see some of Lynn's merchandise. Wish it was closer to Indiana but then of course I'd be making bi-weekly trips to see what new thing she had come up with in my absence. I love stores like that with a little bit of this and a little bit of that all arranged interestingly throughout. Just like a treasure trove.

    1. Hey Vic! Actually I had put up with that tooth hurting off and on since August when I had the dental surgery. I had used up all that was available on our dental insurance and was waiting until the first of the year. Poppy kept say, you need to go to the dentist, insurance or no insurance! Glad it's done!
