We've got SNOW!

SNOW!

We have snow! Real snow! Nope, this is not the usual light dusting and it's not sleet and freezing rain...this is about eight inches of beautiful white fluffy snow. It was probably 1957 the last time I built a snowman. I could not resist. Built by Henny Penny herself...

A couple of Tylenol should help my back. :)

and, snow pictures. Lots of snow pictures...

Poppy, still in pajamas...

Eli had a blast...

The ducks came up to meet me early this morning...hungry!

Sorry, one more closeup of Mr. Snowman. I'm proud of this snowman and actually had fun building it.

You are all probably saying, wow snow :(   Seriously, I'm ready for spring. We just haven't seen snow this pretty in a long time.

Thank you for sharing my fun in the snow.

Love,
Henny

    1. It was fun all fresh and clean. Doesn't take long for the snow to look dirty. I have enjoyed the snowman. Thank you.

  4. I love your snowman! He looks quite dashing in his hat and red scarf. Poppy doesn't even have on gloves out there in the snow. I saw the national weather report that made me wonder if you'd get snow or ice. The snow sure is a lot prettier and not a dangerous. Enjoy it while it lasts, preferably from inside where it's warm and dry.

    1. I don't know why he didn't take a minute to get dressed for the snow. Actually he was taking Eli out and stayed longer than planned. His hands looked like they were freezing. He did hit me with a couple of snowballs. It was fun for a while.

  9. Golly you really do have SNOW. I can imagine how exciting it is when you have so little. I used to live in east Texas and we almost never had snow but every once in awhile we would have enough to make a teeny tiny snowman and we were so proud! We have about that much on the ground here now from a couple of snowfalls last week. We have had very little snow so far this winter but terrible cold below freezing temps to make up for it.

You're snow man is wonderful. He looks quite happy to be there.

I love the shot of the old sewing machine base covered with snow. The sides look like intricate lace.

I just bet Eli was in seventh heaven===he was designed for that kind of weather.

    1. Poppy was saying this morning that it may be ten years before we see another snow like this one. That old sewing machine base needs to be brought in and painted. They make beautiful tables. One of these days! Oh, Eli loved that snow!

  14. Oh I love the snowman. I have been busy all day moving furniture and helping Frank fix some places in the floor. Seth is getting new carpet in his room in the morning. I am whipped. We got about 3 inches of snow but it was so wet and slushy today we did not go out and play in it.

    1. Well Vicki, I was sure hoping the storm would stall over your house and drop eight to ten inches of beautiful snow. Getting new carpet installed is as exciting as a big snow. I would love to get new carpet for the whole house! I needed you here too with Lynn and Andee to really play in the snow!

    1. Oh, that's what usually happens here. We get all warm and it feels like spring and the flower bulbs start blooming. Then we have a big freeze! That is very common for here in NC.
