Kitty cats make me happy

What's happened to me! My blog has simply gone to the dogs. How do you pull yourself out of a slump? I'm really struggling here.

Maybe a kitty post will help..

This little fellow cheers me up, always!

And sweet Dumperoo.

And again.

and sweet Bickett. He doesn't have a black eye, really. Lots of times Bickett's eyes look pink. He has certainly had his share of medical problems over the years.

I finally gave up on trying to sew last night. Sometimes there is a little too much help in the sewing room.

and that's Eli's teddy bear stuffed under the ironing board too. What we need around here is a few animals in the house. :)

The snow was pretty when it started to fall yesterday but it quickly turned to sleet and freezing rain.  At least it brought the Cardinals back...that's a good thing.

Poppy sees his doctor tomorrow. His appointment was cancelled today because of the icy roads. He may go back to work Thursday.

Hope you will come back. Hope to be back soon myself...and in better spirits! I've missed you all.

Love,
Henny

  1. I'm always glad to see a kitty post. Tell me, how did Dumperoo get his name?

    1. Well really 'Dumpster Kimball' is his real name. Poppy found him hanging around a dumpster site when he was a kitten. It was Poppy who named him. I know it's a terrible name for such a sweet cat. We call him Dumperoo and Woo Woo.

  2. I was wondering whether you got all iced in-----it sounded really pretty bad. About 4 inches of snow here and very very low temps. Single digits for highs in the next several days and below zero at night. Soooooo nice and cozy!

I have started fertilizing the plants that i brought inside for the winter and they are looking happy and anticipating an early spring. Wish I had some fertilizer for me! Cabin fever going on here too.

The cardinals in the tree look gorgeous in all that white.

    1. I could use some of that fertilizer too. I'll be so happy to see spring. Thanks!

    1. It really is. If we can get through February, maybe I will do better. :)

  5. I can understand your feelings; sometimes we just can't get motivated. Bad weather also affects my mood. I need sunshine and when it's rainy, snowy, sleeting, or threatening to do any of those, the sun isn't shining. I feel a lot more energized and motivated on sunny days. Here's hoping you have sunshine and warmer weather. I also hope that Poppy gets a good report from his doctor. Those cardinals are beautiful. I love to watch the birds and we've had close to 6 inches of snow so the birds are swarming my 3 feeders which I can see from my recliner. I'll have to make more suet in the next day or two.

    1. I need to learn to make suet. Feeding the birds is a cheerful thing to do in this gloomy weather. I truly need to move to Florida, but then I would worry myself to death over hurricanes. I inherited all this worrying from my mother. It will be warm and sunny before we know it! Right? :)

  6. Animals always make me happy! The problem with cats 'helping' is that everything takes twice as long...

    1. That's the truth! Dumper likes to jump out and attack my fabric and patterns. Bickett likes to bite me and Dumper! Oh Jane, it's probably me, but I tried to view your blog and it would not let me. I'll try again. Thank you
