Dumperoo and the Red Peppers

Last Saturday when I gathered everything in the teeny tiny garden, I also picked all the red peppers. Only two pepper plants but both were hanging full of peppers. Anyhow, yesterday I borrowed some fishing line from Poppy's shop and began stringing up the red peppers. These dried peppers should be good this winter. Todd, I plan to send a string of peppers to you...just in case you enter another chili making contest. This just might do the trick! :)

Dumperoo was most interested in helping.

Sorry about the gun in this picture. Poppy was in the woods earlier working on his deer stand. He carries a gun in case he sees a Copperhead...

After all the peppers were strung Poppy helped me hang them...

Oh, the peppers are hung over the refrigerator so when I took the picture I also got this picture. One day I will have a baby donkey. This picture hangs here to remind me...

Once again, thank you for visiting.

Love,
Henny Penny

  1. All those from two plants? Priceless! Mini donkeys are the cutest I say. Your kitty seems intrigued by the peppers lol.

  2. If it includes a string or wire, Dumperoo is in. Cute photos and I love how it looks hanging in the kitchen. It's gorgeous. Deb

    1. That's true. I have to be careful with string around the cats.

    1. I was afraid he would bite one. Glad he didn't. Dumperoo is not a trusting cat anyway.

  4. The hanging strings of red peppers are so pretty. I hope Dumperoo doesn't have a surprise when he cleans his paws! The photo of the baby donkey is so cute. I hope you can one so you can share him with us!

    1. I had not thought about his paws. :) A donkey would sure give me something fun to post about.

  5. Curious kitty is apparently not so curious as to take a taste. Good thing.

  6. What a wonderful bounty.

Never apologize for owning a gun. It is a constitutional right. Glad to see it. I may have to start taking one with me. The wild hogs are getting closer to our place. I can shoot faster than I can climb a tree.

I feed the spiders because they are so helpful in the gardens. I think it all balances out. In my camera she was only gathering food to survive and for the future of her young ones in the egg sac.

    Have a blessed week.

    1. I can't imaging not having a gun around for protection. About the spiders...I never kill one, not even in the house. I catch them and put them outside. I appreciate the spiders too. I just feel sorry for the poor bug caught in the web. :) I need help!

  9. I agree. Never apologize for owning a gun. I need to find time to practice with mine. Hopefully I have more than enough time to do so.
I LOVE the name of your cat! SO appropriate! We just give our cats names like Spider or Squirt, haha. May have to steal that name sometime. ;-)
Hope you all have a blessed week. ♥

    1. Thank you Vicki. I hope so too. Your baby donkey is probably about grown. Is he close enough that you can see him every day? Love you!

  11. I once owned a miniature donkey, named Jo Jo......he was quite the character. He followed my horses around like he was one of them. I think they just tolerated him !

  12. Those strung peppers are well worth a photo, so pretty. Are they like bell peppers in taste?

  13. Love the peppers! No venomous snakes here, so no worries (well, there is one rattlesnake in Ontario but it is rare and endangered and its bite usually doesn't kill people!)
