Setting up to sell

Around 3:00 today I went up town to the little beauty shop to set up for the craft show tomorrow! If even one apron sells it will be a shock. Seriously!

Not much new here to show you. I did get faces put on these few dolls and managed to get everything tagged.

Finished this apron

and this one

Hope somebody takes a liking to and buys the green doll. She has traveled with me to many a craft show. Obviously, nobody likes the green.

Seven bag holders made to sell.

I feel a little disappointed in the set up. The bonnets and aprons and even the dolls looked dull and out of place.  Maybe it was the lighting, or maybe I'm sick of calico. Maybe I'm sick of bonnets and aprons. Something bright and cheerful for Christmas would have been better.

Change! I need a change! A new craft to work on...even knocking a wall out of the cabin and putting in a big picture window sounds good right now. I need light and sunshine and cheerful fabric. Hope I don't up and run away.

I will leave you with this shot of what looks like a giant lint ball. Actually this is  sweet Eli watching over the yard from the cot on the back porch.

The craft show is from 10:00 to 5:00 tomorrow and Saturday. Hopefully, I will come back and post about how great it was, and talk about all the spending money I pocketed. Thank you! :)

Love,
Henny

  2. Sounds like you have the November Blahs. They're always waiting for a chance to get me. Some years they succeed and that's no fun at all. I hope you sell several items and are encouraged.

    1. I sure do have the November Blahs. Usually November is a good month for me. It may be these days of rain and wet packed leaves and no sunshine. Thank you Granny Marigold.

    1. Oh Karen, two days!! I really don't want to go even for today. But I signed up so I need to be there. I was thinking of making a big sign saying everything half price. :) Thank you!

    2. Oh no, don't sell yourself short! Christmas is coming and you will probably be pleasantly surprised! I know the feeling of 'it seemed a good idea at the time' and when the time comes, you wonder what on earth you were thinking;-)

  4. Hoping everything sells. Have you tried your hand at making signs from old boards? Seems where you live you might find some to paint.

I think you've just got the mopes: your wares look fine, and those two blue aprons are fabulous.

    1. Hey Nancy. Thank you. Craft shows are funny. I've been to some and not made a penny, and then others, almost sell out of everything.

    1. Thank you Vic. I seem to sell more of my crafts out of town. There's just something about this little town. Maybe it's because I was not born and raised here.
