Freezing rain, sleet, and a little snow fell all day yesterday. It was supposed to end this morning...but didn't! The weather people have now decided it will rain all day today and again tomorrow!
Aren't we all sick of posting about the weather! I thought if I quit talking about this cold winter...it would go away.
Sure makes house training a puppy extra tough. It didn't take long to see that Eli loves jumping in icy puddles.
It feels as miserable as it looks here!
Mr. "B" keeps warm inside...(had to add a little warmth to the post).
Thank you for stopping by.
Love,
Henny Penny
Hey, I'll trade ya'. I'll even throw in a lot of free snow!
ReplyDeleteI'm not sure where you live but you have probably been covered in snow all winter, like most folks! At least with ice, you can see a little color showing through. So, you can keep the snow this time. :)
DeleteI think the ice looks so pretty compared to our snow! Wet paws and the smell of a wet dog I love it! You need a paw bath by the door:)
ReplyDeleteWhen you have seen nothing but white all winter, I suppose the ice does look better. Like I said to Red, at least with ice a little color shows through. I know you love dogs. I am enjoying Eli so much. He is most unusual...he looks in my eyes when I talk. He just seems very smart.
DeleteOh, I want to cosy in on your home...with a cat or two...and Eli!
ReplyDeleteJane x
You are most welcome! We can squeeze a few more folks and animals in here.
DeleteOh, can I come too????? We could have such a party!
ReplyDeleteIt got warm here this afternoon----up in the low 60's I think. I got out in just a denim jacket and did a bit of pruning. Rain tomorrow and cold again. Sigh......
Can't believe that spring will technically arrive the day after tomorrow!
Absolutely!!! Would love to have you too!! Can you believe how the temperatures are from one extreme to the other!
DeleteThat's one terrible ice storm! Brrr. and yes, winter needs to stop for you and everyone else in the eastern half of the country.
ReplyDeleteIt was pretty but we're glad it's gone!
DeleteThe pictures are beautiful but I am ready for spring.
ReplyDeleteMe too!! We normally don't have this much winter weather!
DeleteThe freezing rain always makes for some very pretty photographs....until it gets so thick that everything starts crashing down.
ReplyDeleteDo you have to take Eli out in the middle of the night, I hope not!
It's been a bad winter for so many people, not so much for us, but Spring is definitely later than it is some years.
That's right. Our lights blinked a couple of times but we never lost power. Eli sleeps through the night, thankfully! He is such a good puppy!
DeleteYour icy trees look like diamonds strung on the branches, but I know it must be tough having some teasingly warm days and then freezing rain, snow, and ice. Eli has such a thick furry coat, he probably is happy until the wetness seeps through. With a new pup, I think you have a fine excuse to ignore some of the pawprints and extra dirt on the floors. Trying to retrieve him on a cold wet day sounds like you could be spending more time outside than you planned! I hope spring finds you soon.
ReplyDeleteYes, I've decided to stop worrying about the floors until Eli is a little older. Just do the best I can. He is such a sweet puppy. It is easy to overlook the mess. We need spring, that's for sure! :)
DeleteI'm at my usual late winter stage of denial where I go out in coats that are better suited for early spring.
ReplyDeleteI'm cold, but at least I'm not wearing that parka again!
Eli is ADORABLE.
I have a hard time wearing a heavy coat, and freeze when I go outside! Thank you! Eli is a sweetie!
DeleteWe had a little ice this time but not that much. I am so ready for spring. I am glad that you did not lose power that makes ice even worse. Eli looks like he is growing.
ReplyDeleteLove you, Vicki
Eli is growing fast! Dan says he can see a change every day when he gets home from work! Your package is on it's way!!! :)
DeleteYour house looks so cozy, and I love the lampshades. I can see that your puppy will be quite a water magnet--right down to his furry toes!
ReplyDeleteThank you! Oh, those big feet pick up a lot!
DeleteOoh dear, I wish I could send you some of our sunshine, it surely gives much hope, that Spring is here !
ReplyDeleteYour cabin is so cozy and inviting, I could move right in ;)
