An awesome sky!

The sky was simply gorgeous this morning! Just totally awesome!

Colors were fading quickly...

Is it windy where you are?  Not a good day to be outside.  Wind gusts up to 35 mph.  It is supposed to warm up a bit today, but it sure doesn't feel any warmer!  Not with this wind!

Bickett has the best idea on these cold days...

Dumperoo too, under the sewing table where there is a heat vent...

Sorry Roo!

The little farm in my kitchen window...

I need to come up with some new interesting big projects to do inside, instead of standing at the kitchen window dreaming about  building a fence or digging in the dirt. I get this way every January and it's worse in February.

Thanks, if you managed to stay this long! :)

Love,
Henny Penny

  1. The cats look so comfy. I have a little funny story about cats. Seth is a little nervous about cats so he don't want them around him. There is a barn cat in the pasture and Seth has a love hate relationship with him. He has named it Garfield but he is always wanting us to get rid of it. Never would hurt an animal. To the funny story. Seth comes up to me and wants me to purr on him like a cat does. This makes him laugh so hard it is so funny! Oh well I love your little animals in the window
    Love you Vicki

    1. Oh, that is funny about Seth, and sweet too. He is not sure if he want that cat around, but named him Garfield. You probably get tickled watching him laugh. Are you working on any crafts now? I've just got to get interested in something!! Love you too!

  2. Those skies are wonderful! Lucky that you managed to catch them. I get 'cabin' fever too. The first day above freezing and I'm itching to get in the garden.Heck, I'm just itching to stop being cold!
It was very windy yesterday (Saturday), it brought our temps down to -36C. Roll on Spring.

    1. -36C ! That is cold! What a winter this has been! Are winters always this cold and snowy where you live?

    2. Yup! Why didn't I emigrate to Australia instead of Canada?

  3. February is the hardest month to get through--hands down! By March things are still cold but a few things are showing signs of life and there are a few nice days now and then to help things along and give a person a little encouragement.

    1. You are exactly right! February is the hardest month for me too. Eating is about the only thing that makes me happy during the month of February and I do not want to gain 10 pounds! :)

  4. January has gone by so quickly here in Seattle this year, what with many dry, sunny days and following the Seahawks who are going to the Super Bowl. February is a tough month, but I will be recovering so I plan to watch a lot of the Olympics and read a lot. I hope it goes by quickly.

  6. Mom, the photos of the sky are beautiful. I am sure it was beautiful to see it in person! I used to get the same way in Jan and Feb when I had my garden. Now I garden year 'round, but I dream of the cottage I want to have some day! Love you!! Lynn
