Bunnies again!

Waking up at 1:30 in the morning is crazy, and crazier than that is laying awake until 3:30 thinking about Bun Bun and Fiona. I'm just not happy with their little condos and play yard..

Remember Bun Bun's baby picture...

Was he adorable or what! Wish I could go back, now that I know more about bunnies, and especially bunnies that are part Angora.

The biggest problem with Bun Bun and Fiona's cages is being too low to the ground. Closing them up at night means bending way over to twist wires together.  That's one of the big things the doctor and physical therapists have warned me about concerning my back.

I'm back! Just couldn't stop thinking about it, so I've been out changing things around for the last two hours. Two metal stands from the little greenhouse worked perfect for Fiona's cage. But now that her cage is higher, she needs the little staircase. Bun Bun likes his set up better too.

Wish you could see them both jumping in and out of their  houses.

Now that they have become friends through the fence, tomorrow we will open the gate between them.

That's about it for now...doing just a little at the time.

One more kitty cat picture. Can't leave out Bickett...

Hope to be back soon.

Love,
Henny

  3. You never fail to amaze me with the abilities you have. To think up solutions and then figure out how to make it usually using stuff you already have!! ( Just sayin'... I wake up at ungodly hours and think about strange things too).

  4. My goodness, did you build that cunning little staircase? You are amazing! Who knew you were a carpenter in addition to everything else?!

  5. I want to know too. Did you build those platforms and the staircase, or design and assign them to someone else? Anyway, good thinking, even if it did cost sleep.

  9. You have the luckiest rabbits! To have such a nice set-up! We've had 3 rabbits at the most at one time. (One was 10 years old, and 2 were 1 year old at the time we tried to see how they acted). We had to separate all...and couldn't even let them run around our large yard at the same time.
They would act like killer rabbits and try to bite each other and not let go! A bit scarey....ha....like the old monty python clips about the killer rabbit! Oh, they were all male rabbits...maybe that had something to do with it! Andrea

  10. A woman after my own heart....cobbling things together from 'junk' that you already have! Great job! Hmm, just be careful, like someone already mentioned, bunny sex happens pretty fast, and pretty frequently, and can happen right after the doe gives birth, so she gets preggers immediately again. I'm speaking from experience, and it didn't go well:(
Sorry I haven't commented lately, we were away, I got behind, I have read all your posts but sometimes the commenting just seems to be too much effort, or effort I don't want to make at the time I read the post. And then I think I will go back and comment later, and it doesn't happen....:( Anyway, so glad your back is feeling better. The best thing you can do to help your back out is to strengthen your abdomen muscles, just saying!:)
