After getting home from seeing Lynn on Sunday, my tooth started hurting. Throbbing pain! Isn't it always something!! I called the dentist yesterday and was sitting in his office at 9:15 this morning. The dentist pulled that tooth and said it was shattered in my gum, down to the nerve. No wonder it was hurting. Thank goodness that's over! That was my last jaw tooth on the bottom. I've been wanting to stop eating. This should help.
About Lynn's shop! This child has found her calling! Having a little shop is something she has always wanted.
She has filled this little caboose with treasures. If there had been room enough to set up a cot in the back, I would have moved in. It's warm, it's cozy, and you know how a caboose looks with the square box that sits on top with windows...well the sun pours in through those little windows, warming the shop.
Lynn does altered couture and is really good at it. Why, I wanted to buy all of her clothes except maybe the fancy white dress on the left. She loves hats. Lots of hats in the shop.
I am having a terrible time with pictures lately! Honestly, pictures are simply disappearing and I am now beginning to wonder if it's all me!
We left the shop and went by Lynn's apartment and were met at the door by Vlad...
and Lucy...
well no, maybe this one is Lucy...
Okay, I am totally giving up on this tonight. Some pictures are showing up, some are not. Maybe I lost more than a tooth from my head this morning.
Thank you for looking in. Hopefully I will be back tomorrow. This computer and I are both shutting down for the night. :)
Love,
Henny
Hey, Mama. I am sorry about your tooth but glad that is over with! Thanks for posting about the shop. I am so glad you came to see it!! Love you! Your girl.
ReplyDeleteHey Lynn. You are welcome! Love you!
DeleteIt is not just you having photo disappearing problems. Mine are as well. They download then disappear. My DIL has said she'll find them.... and she probably will... making me feel even more like a dummy.
ReplyDeleteI like black and white cats. We used to have cats, the last was a lovely B & W one who ran away when we first got a dog. He came by one day to check if that beast was still around and when he saw that it was, he left for good. I missed him.
I wasted most of the day yesterday trying to figure out again how to move a picture from our Yahoo mail to my blog. I got two moved and sure hope I remember how today. :) That is odd how the cat stopped by and left again. Aren't animals funny!
DeleteWow! Lynn's shop looks wonderful!
ReplyDeleteThank you! She loves it!
DeleteSorry about your tooth! I need to go have a few teeth fixed myself but I hate all dentist and the cost. What happened to the days when you had health insurance and it covered all of your health including teeth and eyes? I love Lynn's shop. It is so cute and I know she has so much pride in it! Love you both!
ReplyDeleteI know Vicki. I had to deal with that tooth until Jan. 1st got here to have more insurance. I'm happy Lynn is happy now. Love you!
DeleteGlad to hear you've sorted your tooth troubles out Henny, there's nothing worse than an aching tooth :(
ReplyDeleteYour beautiful daughter has created a shop of treasures, if only I lived close by, I could have a little look around, and carry home a few of those gorgeous blouses.
She must have the talent gene from you, are you sure she doesn't have a little farm outback ?
Beautiful kitties.
~Jo
Thank you Jo. Wish you did live close by! :) Oh, I wish I had some of Lynn's talent. I struggle with everything.
DeleteI love the little caboose shop! Wish I was closer because I am sure I would be Lynn's best customer! Glad you got that tooth out! I've had horrible teeth most of my life so I know the pain they can cause.
ReplyDeleteGrace & Peace
Thank you. I have always had horrible teeth too and sure had my share of aching teeth!
DeleteWhat a lovely shop. I love that it is in a caboose. Wish you would have had photos of the outside, too. Everything in the shop looks fun, I love hats, too.
ReplyDeleteThank you Connie. I do have a picture of the caboose to post today! Finally figured it out!
DeleteWhat a lovely shop. I love that it is in a caboose. Wish you would have had photos of the outside, too. Everything in the shop looks fun, I love hats, too.
ReplyDeleteI love the shop. Just the kind of place I could spend some hours ;-) How is the snowfall? Did it stop?
ReplyDeleteHey there! Thank you! Oh the snow was beautiful, but it stopped and went right away!
DeleteWhat a wonderful little shop! I truly hope it's a success for her. I love hats too and think it a shame that they are no longer "stylish" for every day use.
ReplyDeleteGlad you're feeling better. Tooth pain can be so draining.
Thank you. I LOVE hats and have always wanted to wear one. I just don't look as good in a hat as I think Lynn does. :)
DeleteI just looove it! I want to shop there! I want a caboose!
ReplyDeleteSo sorry about your tooth but I'm glad the pain is gone now. Good thing it is soup season!
I want a caboose too! :) Thank you Cynthia.
DeleteOh, you make me laugh, Henny. You have such a wit. I think you daughter has found her calling for sure. I would purchase that sign with the crow if I didn't live a world away. Take care of yourself. You are to rest after dental work, ya know. ;-) Deb xx
ReplyDeleteHey Deb. Thank you! Lynn painted that picture with the crow. She has sold a few of her paintings. I have been sorta taking it easy...mostly because of the weather. :)
DeleteSo glad you found a fairly quick (although I'm sure it didn't seem quick) resolution to your tooth issues.
ReplyDeleteJust think - you now have the hollow cheeks of a high fashion model!
Oh my Marty. I'll have to remember to think of that way, the hollow cheek look. I feel like a new person with that tooth gone!
DeleteWhat a lovely shop! Just my kind of store. So many pretty things.
ReplyDeleteSo sorry about your tooth.
We must have gremlins in our computers. I never did find the photos that disappeared on me the other day either!
I think you're right about the gremlins. I've had weird things going on. But a lot of my problems are because of me. :) Thank you!
DeleteLove the shop!
ReplyDeleteThank you Gail!
DeleteIt's good that you were able to get in to the dentist so quickly and get some relief right away.
ReplyDeleteNice to see some of Lynn's merchandise. Wish it was closer to Indiana but then of course I'd be making bi-weekly trips to see what new thing she had come up with in my absence. I love stores like that with a little bit of this and a little bit of that all arranged interestingly throughout. Just like a treasure trove.
Hey Vic! Actually I had put up with that tooth hurting off and on since August when I had the dental surgery. I had used up all that was available on our dental insurance and was waiting until the first of the year. Poppy kept say, you need to go to the dentist, insurance or no insurance! Glad it's done!
DeleteWhat a great shop, so many treasures. Hope you are feeling better from the dentist visit.
ReplyDeleteThank you. I saw lots in the shop I wanted to buy! :)
DeleteLove the little caboose shop! Hope she does really well with it. Would be there room in there for some of your aprons and sunbonnets?
ReplyDeletePS, glad you got your tooth fixed! Ughh to aging teeth:( Love the name of the shop, that is perfect!
DeleteThank you Karen. I sure hope Lynn does good with the shop too. Customers that come in sure seem to like it and say they will be back. She did pick a good name for the shop.
DeleteThat looks like a fun shop to visit! I'm so sorry for your tooth pain! I know the feeling. Except mine is sinus pain making my teeth hurt. All of them :( Oh well, this too shall pass. Happy New Year! I look forward to following along.
ReplyDeleteOh, sinus pain, hurting teeth, it all runs together and is awful. Hope your pain goes away soon. Pulling my tooth was easy, but you can't pull teeth that are hurting because of your sinuses. Thank you Sherry!
DeleteLittle Shop of Treasures! Thanks for posting the pictures. I love that the shop looks just like how Lynn has decorated her own places over the years.
ReplyDeleteLynn does have the shop looking like her old home used to look. I wanted to move in! :)
DeleteOh what a wonderful shop to have and what a great name!! I'd love to spend the day there looking around.
ReplyDeleteGlad you got your tooth fixed!
Thank you. Probably a good thing Lynn and I are an hour apart. I would be in the shop every day with her if I could. :)
DeleteGlad you got that tooth sorted out I cant stand having mouth pain from teeth it is the worst I think ! Oh such a lovely little shop and pretty kitties ! Lovely photos ! Thanks for sharing , have a good day !
ReplyDeleteThank you! I agree. There is no other pain like a tooth ache.
DeleteHi! I am so sorry that you had to have a tooth pulled. I hate to have mine pulled! Lynn and her shop are so lovely. No wonder you would have liked to stay there. The cats are adorable. I don't have any cats now but we use to have one. Nancy
ReplyDeleteSure hope I want ever have to lose another tooth! Thank you Nancy. Lynn is a sweet daughter and she is so happy with the little shop.
DeleteOh henny, what a cute shop your daughter has. She really has it outfitted nicely. I hope that she will do very well with it and really enjoy having it! Also....I love her kitties ....I grew up with tuxedo kitties and they have always been my very favorites! Thanks for all the great pictures and the story today too!!!
ReplyDeleteThank you Diane! I had never seen a tuxedo cat until Lynn adopted those two. Aren't they beautiful!
DeleteI love this idea, what a great dream come true for your daughter. I like what I see. I see many treasures I would like. :-)
ReplyDeleteHope you are feeling better.
Carla
Thank you Carla. I feel much better. Hope Lynn's little shop does good.
DeleteI haven't had any teeth pulled yet, but I keep breaking my molars. So far the dentist has been able to patch them up. He said next we'll move to crowning them.
ReplyDeleteI love Lynn's little shop. I would certainly visit it if I could.
That is wonderful that you have not had any teeth pulled. I have had root canals, feelings, bridges, and partials since I was sixteen years old. Just hope nothing else happens. Sure wish you could visit the little caboose too. Thank you Linda.
DeleteYour daughter and you look a lot alike. Most of us would die for your beautiful long full hair.
ReplyDeleteThat is such a cute little shop, I sure would stop there! :)
