So who cares what color the is house anyway?

Must be nice to be so relaxed and calm about everything...

Easy to see Eli's favorite spot in the house. And on a white bedspread. That's okay though. It can be washed and when it wears out, I'm sure I will find another.

Well friends, things have settled down a little around here now that the painters have finished up and things are back in place. Poppy and I have resigned ourselves to the fact that we will be living in a little red house. It's just that all we've known since 1989 has been an old fashioned cedar log cabin and a few sweet old Labrador Retrievers. And now we have a little red house and a big white dog!

I appreciate all the comments and your honest opinions on the big paint job. I enjoyed every comment.

Hope to be back soon. I am off to get a perm. Probably another big decision fixing to go awry! We seem to be on a roll here. :)

Love,
Henny Penny

  1. Hey!! I have been reading your blogs and going to comment on all but I have been on vacation and I did not have much computer time. I love the new color of the house. Change is always so hard but it grows on us. Your green beans look great. Ours are growing but we need some rain bad. It has not rained here in two weeks. It is real cloudy here today maybe God will bless us with rain. I hope your hair turns out great. I love you!!

    1. Oh I'm glad you got to go on vacation. Hope it was to the beach. Did the boys have a blast? I'll be watching for a post. We really needed to grow green beans this year and guess what? These are not too stringy. We need rain too but sounds like we have had rain since you have. Sure hope you get a shower. I love you Vicki, and I have missed you.

  4. I think the red is great.

We use the dirt cellar now for empty jar storage. Not much else. We have a basement and use that for storms.

    1. You have such a great farm. I love old out buildings and cellars and tractors. Lots of places to get if there is a storm.

  5. Your old house reminded me of a middle aged lady...beautiful and comfortable in her skin. The new colour is the middle aged lady dressed up for a wedding.
