Wearing out the camera

Hopefully, my new camera will arrive today! Just before the camera died I was sitting on the couch taking pictures, of just stuff! Cameras are fun to play with now!

Bickett, interested in Poppy's dirty work boots...

And Weetie asleep beside me...

and Dumperoo in my lap...

Remember  when we had to put a roll of film in the camera, take 24 pictures, then carry the film to the drug store to be developed. Then wait several days before picking up the pictures. Lots of times a roll of film would lay around the house a month or so before somebody would get around taking it to the drug store.  By that time we would have forgotten what was on the film. It was exciting to get the pictures back!

Oh man! Guess what the big news is now? Snow flurries today...cold and snowing tomorrow...snow turning to sleet and freezing rain on Wednesday and into Thursday. Dangerous driving conditions...icy roads! Chance of power outages. Maybe some sun on Friday! :)

Thank you if you managed to read this far. Not much of a post.  By the way, I am working on three new bonnets.  Still considering an Etsy shop.

Love,
Henny Penny

  2. Somewhere either on the web or in a pattern book at the fabric store I saw patterns for little kid sun bonnets. I can't remember where of course! but you might google kids sunbonnet patterns and get something. When I saw it I thought of you saying that you were tired of making sunbonnets (I assume adult size) and thought that you might think about kid size ones. The pic that they had there (wherever there was!) looked real cute. They would be quicker to make and I bet they would sell easily. You see little kids all the time all togged out in hats and sunglasses, long sleeves, the whole nine yards. I think people have forgotten that we do need at least a little real sunlight to process all that vitamin D.

    1. I do have a couple of children's bonnet patterns. Looking on line at some different ones might help. I am pretty tired of making the same kind. Boy am I ready for some warm sunshine!

    1. Thank you. Our house is cozy, but little. It looks too full of stuff most of the time!

  4. We don't have many pictures pre digital because the film roll and processing were too expensive. Then, when colour films came in...woohoo! They were even more expensive.

  5. I love playing with cameras too.
    I love your pets' names.
Thanks for the glimpse of the interior of your cabin. It looks delightful.
Our snow has given way to dreary rain. Good luck with your next wave of weather.
See, I got a lot out of your "not much of a post".

  6. I enjoyed your post.

We still have snow in the south. Wind chills were single digits this morning but we have sunshine. Snow routes only school today after over a week of school missed.

That was the first time I had tried a wordle...using all the words given me. It made no sense to me either!

  7. Good luck to you and your endeavours. It hasn't snowed here in England yet, although it's been forecast a few times.

Thank you. Love love, Andrew. Bye.
