A big thank you!

No wonder the mice are having a ball!

Dear friends, if I don't do anything else, I've simply got to tell you how much I appreciate the sweet comments about the little mouse that was stuck in the wire. Thank you.

Thankfully, things have been pretty quiet here for a day or two. I still have not told Poppy about the mouse and he obviously has not looked at my blog. Do your husbands, or wives, read your blogs?

Speaking of mice! I was thinking of having a baked sweet potato for lunch and asked Poppy if he would like one. He said yes. I pulled the last two sweet potatoes from the basket in the pantry. Would you look at this...

I baked this one for Poppy.

and B's little paws were so cute.

Need to get a little sewing done tonight so I will stop here. Thank you!

Love,
Henny

  1. I'm laughing at your sweet potato mouse. And by the looks of that lazy Smokey I doubt the mice have much to worry about. ;-)

  5. Funny sweet potato!! We had a carrot last week that looked just like a pair of pants. The grands thought that was great.
My husband reads my blog from time to time. I think he mainly looks at what pictures I've posted.

  6. You sure do lead an interesting life. I don't think I could have done what you did to free the mouse. I probably would have gotten my husband! When I see yours I want a bunny and a kitten! I have a dog! Nancy

  11. Yes, my husband reads my blog. My cousin reads my blog too once in a while. I think they are the only family members.
Crazy that the sweet potato looks just like a mouse. : )
I eat sweet potatoes often for lunch. I like to put brown sugar and butter on it.

  13. That's some coincidence----finding the sweet potato mouse just after freeing the little overstuffed one in the henhouse. It's sort of an incidence of "relevance"---- when you learn a new word and suddenly begin seeing it in many different places. You might not have noticed the resemblance, although it is most striking, if you hadn't had the recent experience with the real mouse.

  15. Ugh. That sweet potato would make me pass on that meal. To answer your question, my husband does read my blog, but my sisters and mother don't. My daughters do as they are bloggers too. I wonder what people do with their spare time if they don't read blogs? just joking...sort of.
