Checking in...

Bun Bun makes me smile...and it's a good thing he does!

This has been one of those weeks!! Here it is 2:15 on Friday and I just turned off the vacuum cleaner and left the darn thing sitting in the middle of the living room floor. Poppy will be home...probably around 3:30 and I have not had a free minute all day...hardly all week.

I had an appointment at 8:30 this morning...then errands to run...got home with a fifty pound bag of chicken feed, 25 pounds of kitty litter, a bale of hay wrapped in a king size sheet and stuffed in the trunk...to be unloaded and put in the hay rack for the goats, and twelve bags of groceries to unload and put away.

Yesterday I did get outside and put a cup of 10-10-10 fertilizer on each pitiful looking little fruit tree...the next step on my list of what fruit trees need each month. Yep, early March, the website said, give each fruit tree one cup full of 10-10-10. Wonder if I need to start buying bushel baskets for my big harvest this year? :)

Eli got a brand new red ball. Walmart got in more of those small soccer balls.  Just the right size for a big boy like Eli.

Not much of a post here. I need to visit all my favorite blogs now and catch up. Hard to believe another weekend is here. Hope to be back soon.

Love,
Henny

  3. Your fruit tress are sure to respond to your care. Maybe not bushels full this year but maybe next.

You certainly have a busy life. Carting all those bags of groceries in as well as all the animal food. I hope tomorrow will be an easier day for you.

  4. I hope you've had a chance to take a breath by now. You need to do something relaxing this weekend that does not include lugging 50 bags.

  7. Well, I have just enjoyed reading your last few posts! I love the old pictures and hearing about all of those sweet memories. The ones about riding the car sparked a few of my own. Mine mostly consisted of the fear of not finding a restroom because it never failed, I always had to go when we got out in the middle of nowhere! I loved the Walton's but must have forgotten about the spinning wheel song...and I remember my sisters listening to Patti Page. Oh..the memories! Have a great weekend :)

  11. Spring flowers are not here yet in Minnesota, so it is wonderful seeing your daffodils.

  13. I think you should definitely stock up on those bushel baskets. With your energy and enthusiasm not to mention all that 10-10-10 fertilizer, how could those fruit trees fail to respond! And just think even if you don't reap huge harvests of fruit you will at least have some lovely flowering trees during the spring.

  14. Another busy day for you. Better than being bored though right. : ) My vacuum is in the living room right now. I'm taking a break. : )
    Nice new ball for Eli.
Daffodils looking nice by you. I've just seen them starting to come through the ground in my front garden.
After a second look at your picture I spotted the deer.

  18. That's a good idea, the bed sheet around the bale of hay to keep your car from looking like a farm vehicle! Hoping for some really spring like weather later this week.

  20. BunBun is looking very well groomed. Maybe it's going better now? I always hate coming home with a lot of groceries and having to put them all away. Shopping tires and stresses me out. Eli looks like he has taken to his new ball right get away.
