I've been dying to tell you about the beautiful wedding and our trip to West Virginia but here's the problem...
Up until a few months ago I was still using a little flip phone...as mama used to say, "my little cell telephone", and counting on my little $99.00 Kodak camera for pictures. Well, our phone company informed us we needed to upgrade, get a new phone, they said, for free! I chose an iPhone. So what little I know about using this new phone my daughter Andee taught me before they packed up and moved to West Virginia! Yep, they have bought a home in beautiful West Virginia.
So, more of my problem...my little camera finally wore out so I've been taking pictures with my iPhone. It takes great pictures but the pictures will not load onto my computer. Message says "no pictures or videos to download". Anyhow, sending one at the time to my email seems to work so here goes...
Madison and Hunter were married June 17th...
Probably told you this before but Hunter is seven feet tall. He and his Dad, who is his best friend and was Best Man at the wedding chose to wear their boots. Both are big hunters. It was really neat. My Granddaughter Madison was such a beautiful bride.
My other sweet lovely granddaughter Michaela was a bridesmaid, third from the left, and the pretty bridesmaid second from the right is Megan, Todd's son Ryan's wife.
Ten beautiful bridesmaids and ten handsome groomsmen. The handsome guy, second from the left is Todd's son Ryan.
The wedding was held in an old barn in the beautiful country side near Harper's Ferry.
I absolutely love this picture of Andee helping Madison with her dress. It looks so old fashioned...
Ok, promise, I am about done. Got to show Madison and her Dad...
Well just a bit more. Daughter Lynn and her fiance Jason were there...
Jason is an amazing guy. He is a musician, teaches guitar, a great photographer, and a computer whiz, well both he and Lynn...if only I could borrow them for a while. Anyhow, Jason took a picture of Poppy and me and Andee and Todd standing around at the wedding. Look what he did with that picture...
Yes dear Henny Penny - weddings ARE special & a chance to get together for such a happy occasion. I love all the pictures - I hope you sort out your phone & get it to load onto the computer. Everyone looks so beautiful & happy - such special memories. xx
ReplyDeleteCongratulations to the beautiful bride and her handsome groom, may their life together be blessed.
ReplyDeleteThe photographs are so pretty, and wow so many bridesmaids and groomsmen.
Good luck with your camera problems Henny, it's always a learning curve when change is made.
Hugs,
Jo
You look beautiful, and Lynn too. And the granddaughters and especially the bride! That gown is gorgeous on her.
ReplyDeleteAnd boy, her husband is tall! Wedding photos are always a joy to see. I've been to Harper's Ferry a few times, as one of our kids/grandkids lived outside of Charles Town. Harper's ferry is a neat place to visit. Beautiful mountains. We almost moved there. andrea
Beautiful wedding pictures.
ReplyDeleteFun photo! :)
I download pictures from my phone to my computer with Bluetooth.
What part of West Virginia?
Thanks for answering my question. I've been to Harper's Ferry but both towns are pretty far from where I live
Deletein Garrett County, MD.
Beautiful photos. I love weddings. West Virginia is so pretty.
ReplyDeleteWhat a big and beautiful wedding!

West Virginia is so pretty. My SIL keeps saying we all need to move there. :)
ReplyDeleteWhat a gorgeous wedding! I love the pics. That one of you all as musicians is great!
Beautiful wedding!! I love all the pictures and I'm so glad that you are actually on one too!!! Sorry you're having trouble getting the pictures from your phone to the computer. I'm so awful with all things techy.
ReplyDeleteGranny M
Weddings are indeed special and beautiful. Everything and everyone looked stunning. Such a gorgeous couple. Your granddaughter's dress is exquisite and the bridesmaids look lovely. I love the differences in the dresses. I smiled at the photo of you with the guitar, so fun. You look lovely in your gorgeous outfit. A beautiful day celebrating the love of two beautiful young people. Such precious memories.
ReplyDeleteWow, a free phone. That's unusual nowadays! It's a huge deterrent that they won't talk to computers though. You did a great job with the photos. It looks like it was a beautiful wedding. I love seeing how happy the bride and groom are. Looks like they chose a gorgeous place to be married. Wishing them all blessings and happiness.

Jason made you 4 look like the rag time band! Love seeing the beautiful wedding photos. Thanks for sharing. And good luck with the photos. For me on blogger, I just had to have my google account always signed in and then the photos upload off the camera to google. Then when I blog, I open the photos and chose which ones I want. Once you get used to it, it is easy. But I am NOT tech savy, believe me. It took a while. Can't wait to see the poults. Lynn and Precious
ReplyDeleteWhat a wonderful day! Madison is a beautiful bride in her lovely dress. And I think posing with a cello is a very good look for you! I think when you get the hang of your iPhone camera you are going to love the photos it takes. Technology is driving me nuts these days, too. Currently I am fighting with Google to leave comments! Let’s hope this one works.
ReplyDeleteSuch a beautiful wedding. And my, the groom is towering over everyone! Your granddaughter was a beautiful bride! Rich and I were in West Virginia in 1977 when we were first married. It is a beautiful area and I loved Harpers Ferry!
ReplyDeleteWhat a beautiful wedding. Your granddaughter is lovely. I always look forward to your posts.
ReplyDeleteQUE HERMOSAS FOTOS PENNY, UNA NOVIA MUY BELLA Y UN NOVIO MUYYYYY ALTO JAJAJJA, TE VES ESOLENDIDA CON ESA FALDA Y LA BLUSA BORDADA, ESTAS ENCANTADORA. ReplyDeleteWhat fun to see the photos (beautiful setting) - and to see you!
ReplyDeleteWhat a beautiful wedding! Nothing like a wedding in the woods...

Donna
What a beautiful wedding and a lovey couple. I wish them the very best!
ReplyDeleteCongratulations to Madison! How wonderful that you got to go to the wedding! Fun to see the photos!
ReplyDeleteI love her dress. Went to a wedding a few years back where the bride was wearing a strapless gown and it looked like she was a tube of toothpaste being squeezed out the top. Lovely pictures of you and your family.
ReplyDeleteHenny Penny, what a wonderful wedding!! LOVE that photo of your family band, haha :) It looks quite real! Reminds me of the Carter family, but you'd need to add an autoharp :) Lovely wedding!
ReplyDeleteI'm a West Virginian, and most of my family lives there still. My parents moved back there in their 80s, and my mother is there, just down the road from my brother's blueberry farm. She has a 100 year old farmhouse. It's all gorgeous, and I miss it. There's something about those mountains that steals my heart. They are north of Lewisburg, which is a gorgeous part of the state. Lots of old farm houses up there that nobody's living in!
Dearest Henny, just WOW! How wonderful and beautiful a wedding could you have! Also, everyone looked at their best, didn't they? Lynn looks content with her fiance, just lovely. Well, Henny, you could very well pick up and move to West Virginia, it would not be difficult if its what you decided that for sure you wanted. You never know, life changes us all. Its good to have you back, I love the beautiful wedding photos especially of the bride smiling and walking with her Dad. Sending love and hugs, Terry
ReplyDeleteCongratulations to your granddaughter and her handsome husband. I have never visited West Virginia, but I have heard it is a Beautiful state. Hope to go someday. I'm not super tech savvy and I too have to depend on my daughters/granddaughters to help me. You will love the new phone as you get accustomed to it. Thanks for sharing the beautiful wedding pictures.
ReplyDeleteWhat a beautiful wedding that must have been...
