Well, big boy and big girl!
My, what a dirty chin you have Eli! These two recently had birthdays. Miss Ellie turned two on December 21st and Mr. Eli turned nine on January 13th.
Isn't it hard to believe that Eli is 9 years old? The years go by too fast. Life with Eli has been like living with a real live teddy bear, and speaking of bears...
This picture was taken last night. Eli is still carrying around the same old teddy bear...
this bear goes where Eli goes. Oh, remember when we brought little Rosie the goat home?
just another teddy bear to look after, thought Eli...
nothing like a few minutes in the sun. Eli has been nothing but joy since the day we brought him home from the farm in the little town of Micro. He was only eight weeks old...
and what an adorable little bundle of white fur we brought home that day.
And our Miss Ellie...
and what a sweet playful girl she was...
and so totally different from Eli. Ellie loves to play ball and Ellie is a "barker"! Barks at everything! and is afraid of thunderstorms. Ellie is a mama's girl...
And last, but certainly not least, today is Poppy's birthday and I don't even have a picture to show you. It has been a cold rainy day so we built a fire in the fireplace and stayed inside. I did make him a coconut custard pie, instead of a cake for his birthday.
Now friends, I'm wondering, should I post this mess. Guess I will.
Love, Henny
I like your last question. I've asked myself that a few times. However, I say post. Your life is interesting.
ReplyDeleteI'm surprised that Eli's teddy bear is still around, even appears to be intact, not all chewed up. Both Eli and Ellie are sweethearts. Have a lovely week, Granny Marigold
ReplyDeleteAh! Bless! The BIG white furry ones are lovely....
ReplyDeleteAnd Eli is a very caring dog by the looks of things!
Loves his teddy, and all the creatures in and around
the house...and not forgetting Elli of course...!
They must be the two happiest furry dogs ever..! :).
HeHe! Though l think Smokey is still number one..!
Bless him...!x
We're having a few days of frost and minus temp.
Sun's out just now...and drying a few bits and pieces!
Though it's much worse up the Midlands and the North..! :(.
That's the winter for you, and what with ALL the strikes,
it's all in a bit of a mess...! :(.
Still...Onwards and Upwards..."All things bright and beautiful...! :).

Seems like things are a mess all over now, but you are always cheerful and encouraging. I love the row of little mice. I have those now on my new iPhone. I meant to post a picture of Smokey and forgot. Thank you Willie.
DeleteHappy Birthday to Poppy! And of course, lots of snuggles and licks and lovings from the birthday pups. So glad you have reminded us of how small those giant dogs started out, lol. Love seeing them. And that teddy is still hanging on for all these years. Just shows the loving side of Eli.
ReplyDeleteHappy birthday to your husband. Your dogs are gorgeous and look very happy!
ReplyDeleteHappy Birthday to Poppy! Your fur babies are so pretty and I love Eli with that bear. Precious!
ReplyDeleteHappy BIrthday Eli! 9 years really! It has flown by. Ellie is definitely taking life easy. Happy birthday as well to Poppy and coconut custard pie sounds amazing to me! I made a Hershey's cocoa cake with the boiled frosting today for my aunt's birthday, so no shortness of January birthdays! Have a happy week. XO Terry
ReplyDeleteAww thank you Terry. I've been wanting to make a chocolate cake. I think I made the Hershey's cake once a long time ago. It was delicious!! Mama used to make the best cake. It was like seven thin layers with delicious boiled chocolate between each layer. Oh gosh! I might as well go search for something chocolate to eat. :)
DeleteBoth Eli and Ellie are beautiful! Happy Birthday to Eli and to Poppy too!
ReplyDeleteI can’t believe your pups are that old, that Eli with his teddy bear has warmed our hearts with your photos for nine years! Happy birthday wishes to Poppy and Eli!
ReplyDeletePoppy will appreciate this! How do you manage to make everything you do so special? Thank you!
ReplyDeleteHappy Birthday to Poppy! You all be safe and God bless.
ReplyDeleteIt's so good to see a post from you. I was about to send the Mounties out after you but then saw a post from you on someone else's blog and so I knew you weren't "dead in a ditch" as my mother used too say.
ReplyDeleteThose dogs of yours are just beautiful so snowy white. How do you keep them so clean? It really is hard to believe that Eli has been yours for 9 years! Time flies when you're having fun!
Hope Poppy's birthday pie was a success. I always make my husband a lemon meringue pie for his birthday. He loves it so.
Stay warm. There's a winter storm warning out for here tomorrow night and the next day. We'll see if that actually materializes. Rain, snow, wind----sounds like a lot of fun----I can hardly wait.
Hey Victoria, yes I'm still here. Didn't our Mothers say the funniest things? Mama used to say, well go ahead and if you fall and break your neck, don't come running to me. A winter storm sounds miserable. Tomorrow we have a front coming through calling for severe weather, possible tornatoes, high winds. Thank goodness, Dan is home tomorrow. :)
DeleteHappy Birthday to Poppy, Eli and Ellie.
ReplyDeleteYes, time goes by much too quickly!!!
Eli and Ellie and such beautiful dogs!
ReplyDeleteHappy Birthday Poppy!
It's good to see your furry friends again. Happy Birthday to Poppy!
ReplyDeleteSo good to hear from you Henny. Happy Birthday to Poppy....his Birthday pie sounds delish! Aren't Eli and Ellie just the most beautiful dogs ever! How nice that they've been such wonderful pets for you and Poppy. Happy New Year to you both. Take good care! Love to you both.
ReplyDeleteHey Diane. Good to hear from you too. The pie turned out pretty good. I could probably eat the whole thing. :) Anything sweet! Thank you for stopping by. Love you!
DeleteHappy Birthday to Poppy!! I enjoyed seeing Eli and Ellie, thank you for sharing all the photos.
ReplyDeleteCarla
I love your big boy and big girl. Now there's a lucky pair to have such a wonderful home. I would much rather have a coconut custard pie than a cake any day. Happy Birthday to Poppy!
ReplyDeleteThose pups are stunningly gorgeous! Happy Birthday to Poppy!
ReplyDeleteHappy Birthday to Poppy! Hard to believe that Eli is nine as I recall when you got him:)
ReplyDeleteHappy Birthday to Eli, Ellie, and Poppy! Wow! Those dogs sure are beautiful! Amazing how they have grown!
