and wouldn't I feel awful waking up Christmas morning knowing I didn't even say Merry Christmas...
My decorating this holiday season is a little haphazard, but I'll post a picture or two anyhow to show you I did try...
Whatever would I do without the old cupboard? The thrift store dishes that worked so well for fall, look okay for Christmas too.
and a roaring fire in the fireplace would really help here. We'll do that Christmas Day for sure.
Oh my gosh, have you heard how cold and blustery Christmas Day is supposed to be? Of course, I'm sure it's not just here! 35 degrees for Christmas Day, wind gusts of 30 to 40 mph! I'm telling you, moving to Florida sounds mighty good to me! Have I mentioned that summer is my favorite season? Well, it is!
Another thing I'm not good at is making a wreath. I did, however, tie a handful of greenery together with a few bells and hang it on our little front entryway.
So, my main reason for being here tonight is to say, "have a wonderful Christmas", and friends, thank you for putting up with me for another whole year even though my posts are now few and far between. You're the best friends ever!
Eli and Ellie hearing me talk about Christmas, hurried off to bed, thinking Santa was coming tonight...
Well, it won't be long now.
Love you friends! MERRY CHRISTMAS!!!
Henny
Blogger is messing with me again. Sometimes I think they are trying to get rid of me. :)
A very Merry Christmas to you and Poppy too and Eli and Ellie and Bunny too. I like your Christmas decorations....everything looks very festive. Hope you have a wonderful Christmas and all good in the New Year. God bless you Henny. Love ya.
ReplyDeleteThank you Diane. Hope you and your family have a wonderful Christmas. Love you!
DeleteWishing you and yours a blessed Christmas dear friend. You always keep me smiling with your posts, thank you for sharing your little farm and all those sweet babies.
ReplyDeleteHugs,

Our two big dogs sleep just like that! LOL Happy Christmas to you too! Love seeing all your pretty decorations and i do love that greenery on the front screen door, that is so pretty!
ReplyDeleteMerry Christmas, Henny and Poppy! Stay warm. The weather is going to be horrendous almost everywhere. I just hope there's no ice anywhere; snow is bad enough. The quilt on Eli & Ellie's bed is really pretty. It's so good to hear from you any time. Your greens on the screen door are pretty and that door is unique. I like it. Is it to keep animals in or out?
ReplyDeleteThank you Peg. So glad you stopped by. Yes, that unusual little screen door, built by me, :) is to keep the dogs from going off the porch. It workes too, along with the garden fence around the porch. Hope you have a wonderful Christmas, and stay safe in the bad weather headed across the US.
DeleteMERRY CHRISTMAS to you Henny and Poppy.
ReplyDeleteDear Henny, have a very merry Christmas. Keep that fire roaring in the fireplace on Christmas day. This thing that they're calling a Siberian Express is something Siberia could keep. Your decorations fit just perfect with your cabin. I got rather lazy this year and only put up my tree. I didn't even sit out the nativity scene and don't ask me why other than just too lazy I guess. ReplyDeleteMerry Christmas to you and your Hubby and all the critters! Give Randall a big rabbit hug for me! Your Christmas swag on the door is beautiful. Have a great time in front of that fire! Love ya!
ReplyDeleteHenny, nobody would want to get rid of you! Love your posts and photos. Merry Christmas to you and your family.
ReplyDeleteLooks very festive around your house.
ReplyDeleteMerry Christmas to you and Poppy, and all your animals.
Christmas here is supposed to be 2 degrees. Your 35 sounds warm. :)
Your cabin looks cozy and Christmasy :) And those two fluffy dogs look mighty happy! Merry Christmas! We're home and not traveling, thanks to Covid (grrr). Missing family. But warm and safe and out of that nasty weather this weekend. Stay warm! Now I want to go bunch some greenery together!!
ReplyDeleteMerry Christmas M.K. Thank you for stopping by and leaving a comment.
DeleteAll is looking very festive and cozy at your house. It does sound like we are in for a cold Christmas here in NC. My grandson is coming from Florida and wants so bad to see snow. I wish it would happen for his sake, but I doubt it. Oh well, Merry Christmas to you and your family and cute doggies.
ReplyDeleteYour decorations are perfect for your sweet little cabin. It's so good to hear from you again, and to have a chance to wish you a MERRY CHRISTMAS, dear blogging friend. I do love how we get invited into each other's homes, if even virtually.
ReplyDeleteYour decorations are lovely. Wishing you a very merry Christmas!!
ReplyDeleteAlso wishing you and yours a very Merry Christmas and a Happy Safe Healthy 2023! (2023??? Wow! it sounds strange to me - almost like we lost the last 3 years. I remember 2019 as the last normal year). But things are getting better and our new normal is almost upon us. Stay warm, Hennie!
ReplyDeleteMerry Christmas to you and Poppy and your 4 legged friends. I like your door swag and find that a swag is much easier to make than a wreath.
ReplyDeleteI wonder if Blogger is responsible for making me "anonymous". I don't understand. Anyway, this is me, Granny M.
You have such a wonderful decorating touch! Your pups look so happy and comfortable! Wishing you a wonderful Christmas and a blessed new year!

ReplyDeleteHappy Last Week of the Year. :-)
ReplyDeleteI cannot make a wreath as well, we should get together and help each other learn just how to make one. Take a class together. I will have to come South. ;-)
Your home looks lovely.. as always.
Love, Carla
I love your decorations! It was cold and especially blustery the two days before Christmas here in Virginia as well. The wind cut when it blew. No snow yet, still hoping. Happy Christmas Wishes.
