Bee Balm and Bee Festival


The Bee Balm is blooming

I cannot believe ten days have passed since my last post. Time flies, doesn't it! and I really haven't been having that much fun.
and the row of flowers along the garden fence are beginning to bloom.

 Tomorrow, Shelby and I will be vendors at the "Bee Festival" in Oxford, NC. A craft event we have been looking forward to. 

 But listen to this, if you will...all week the weather forecast for Saturday has been for fair skies, low humidity, temps in the mid 80's; perfect weather for a craft show.

 So, yesterday, I emailed Shelby and said, can you believe the perfect weather we are supposed to have for the "Bee Festival"?  I mean, this never happens! 

 So, early this morning we turn on the local news and the weather man is saying we could have rain tomorrow, and thunderstorms, and some could become severe. WHAT!!! Seems a front has formed way up in Omaha Nebraska and is dropping down our way and should arrive here in the early morning hours. In all my life, I have never heard of a front forming in Omaha Nebraska that would affect us here in North Carolina. Seriously, I heard this on the news this morning!

 Oh well, the car is packed to the brim and I am leaving here at 6:00 am for the Bee Festival, if the Lord is willing. 

Got my camera packed too and bound and determined to take pictures. Don't know what I was trying to do here, but looks like I need glasses, bad, and a hairdo, and to paint that mirror.

 Hope to visit you all real soon. Hope to be back here real soon too. I sure appreciate you all!

    I sure hope the rain holds off and you and Shelby have a fun and successful day at the Bee Festival. I have the feeling that when you and she are together you have a great time no matter what the weather.

    Hope you both have fun Henny, and the weather stays calm for your festivities. We have just had a severe thunderstorm pass through with eighty mile an hour winds, a huge weather system moving across the south...

    The Bee plant looks lovely..l bet the fragrance
    is lovely to...Common names for the Bee plant
    include bee balm, horsemint, oswego tea, and
    bergamot, the latter inspired by the fragrance
    of the leaves...! :).

    It's no good..l had to Google your Bee festival..
    AND that the 4th Annual Granville County Beekeepers
    Association Bee Jubilee, is on June 22, 2019!
    I also read that on the 20th December 2017, the United
    Nations General Assembly officially declared May 20th
    as World Bee Day....Interesting reading...!

    I've been trying to grow bee balm for several years now. Sure hope this is the year for success! Your zinnias look really pretty too.

    And oh, the weather. I prefer rain to drought, but am amazed at how it just seems to pop up.

    Oh, Henny, thanks for the bee balm photos. I miss mine in Minnesota so much! I had purple and red and the red was my favorite. The bees, too. I hope you and the bee festival aren’t getting rained on this afternoon. Big storms this morning down south in Georgetown and the blueberry festival tents all blew down!

    Regardless the weather you end up with, I bet that craft show will e great, considering what you and Shelby will take there! Can't wait to see photos of it. I went to the farmer's market this morning too, and we had only a 10% chance of rain, and we did get a 10 minute sprinkle, not too bad. I have a tent, so my stuff was okay. Hope you had fun!

    Good morning, Henny! Good luck at the Bee Festival, yes! Asheville received that storm from the midwest yesterday and we were drowned, so I hope you miss it! It was huge and so much water, the whole place is just soaked! I am looking forward to fun stories from your festival, though! I know you will enjoy it, rain or shine. Love Terry

    Looking forward hearing about the Festival..sounds great. NC weather is crazy..if we don't like it..stay tuned..it will change the next 1/2 day..lol Love the mirror. Cute. I can always relate about bad hair dazzzzzzzzzze....lol Growing older is a bit hard, I find..it affects everything on our bodies...and my hair tremendously. We have to just be thankful for the good health times even though we have whines..right...lol Have a blessed Sunday and again love your posts and photos...so cute.
