Okay, I am supposed to be getting better at blogging, not worse!!
Here again, it has been four days since my last post, which means four days have passed and I haven't replied to your comments, and four days since I've read all of your latest posts, my friends, which means four days since I've left any comments...am I going mad!
So, here's what has taken up my time starting yesterday...a trip to Walmart for groceries, then making those citron preserves which turned out three jars for half a day's work in the kitchen...I am not a pickle maker or a jelly maker!
I brushed and clipped sweet Bun Bun then cleaned the cages, with Smokey's help, of course.
Finished another apron...this time it's an apple apron.
maybe for the shop, one of these days.
and that was just the extras, not counting the two loads of laundry, vacuuming, cleaning the bathrooms, feeding the animals, and cooking supper.
Today I have reinforced another pen with strong rabbit wire.
and added one new section of chicken wire to the chicken lot. We discovered a hole big enough for a raccoon to slip through, anyhow, this was an all day job, well, from 7:30 this morning until 2:00 this afternoon. I am beat!
and now that supper is over and the sun is setting behind us, our walk with Eli and Weetie.
Thank you for visiting!
Love,
Henny
What a cute apron. You should never feel bad about your lack of blogging. There should be no pressure and you should blog just when you have time and want to. Once you feel pressured the fun is over. I'm glad your chickens are kept safe at night. And Smokey looks like such a big help... and sweetie. xo
ReplyDeleteAs busy as you are - I certainly can understand you not blogging that often. I hope your extra chicken wire keeps out that pesky raccoon! Have a great week.
ReplyDeleteSounds like your life has been insanely busy, like mine! I think this is the first time I'm popping around for visits in about a week - I've missed you all!!
ReplyDeleteAw, Smoky is a cutie pie! He and the Bun Bun match!
ReplyDeletePretty apron, Henny!
I love that apron! It is so cute... And so are your pets ♥

Maybe that will keep all of your animals safe!!
ReplyDeleteLove you bunches!!
there are busy times when we just don't have time for blogging. Don't beat yourself up about it.
ReplyDeleteOh, I love the last picture of the long shadows! The color of Bun Bun's fur looks so pretty against the pink of your wheelbarrow. The apple apron is just lovely.
ReplyDeleteEli is the beautiful snowy-white dog, right? He is just so gorgeous, love it when I come on here and you've put up pictures of him. He reminds me so much of our Gypsy, only she is black as night--but their fluffy fur and ears etc. look similar to me. She is not purebred---she is a mix of black Lab (her daddy) and Border Collie (her mommy). Wow, you sure accomplished ALOT OF CHORES!--my goodness, would wear me out. The bunny is so sweet and I love your kitty too and he is nearly an exact match to our kitty Smokey. How old is yours? Our Smokey is pretty elderly but doing great and bring pretty active for 16 years old. Your aprons are beautiful, they really are. Do you take custom orders? Or sell certain ones?

ReplyDeleteYes, Eli is the big white dog. Oh, Gypsy sounds just beautiful! How neat that we both have gray kitties named Smokey. We have had Smokey a couple of years now. Someone threw him out on our dirt road when he was a kitten. I could hear his pitiful meows in the woods and finally found him. He was scared of us at first but finally decided that we loved him. About the aprons, I make about all them from the one pattern and I sell them all. I do make special ones if somebody asks. Thank you so much for the nice comment.
DeleteYour teeny tiny farm is a BIG project!
ReplyDeleteSuch a darling apron. I love the photo of Smokey with Bun Bun. Please do not worry about commenting etc. We all have times when there are not enough hours in the day. Just visit when it is convenient. We are having the siding on our home replaced this week and the hammering is deafening. My 5 indoor cats and I are hiding out in the bedroom! God bless your day.
ReplyDeleteDon't worry about not blogging or commenting. So many of us led busy lives. We are just happy to hear from each other when we are able. You know we are always here! Your aprons are stunning!
ReplyDeleteWhat a beautiful apron. I LOVE it! Sounds like a full and happy life. =)
ReplyDeleteYou're always so busy, I love your apron, love the style xx
ReplyDeletecute pictures of the bunny
ReplyDeleteBun Bun looks so nice with his new haircut!! Nice apron and it looks like it should be used during harvest season! Nancy
ReplyDeleteBun Bun is adorable. Sometimes there is just no time for blogging. I think it is easier for me to blog most days because I've always kept a journal and I'm used to writing every day and my blog is my journal now.
ReplyDeleteYou got a lot done. : )
Forgot to say I LOVE the apple apron.
DeleteI love the apple apron. I have been wondering about Weetie as I haven't seen a photo of him in a long time. And now he's just a shadow!
ReplyDeleteYou are one busy lady!! No wonder you have not got time to blog every day. My problem is that I don't have anything to blog about every day. Some days are just routine and not interesting.
ReplyDeleteThat's a lovely apple fabric on your apron and so timely. I'm still cutting up and freezing more apples!!
Man, that Smokey is a hard task master! Your chicken wired enclosure is sure to hold up good and strong. Appears nothing could get through that.
