t...Well..I'm ashamed to admit it..what with my
top qualifications in Zoology, Botany and
Psychology..HeHe! I was actually looking for
a ...'mouse'...Think l must be loosing it...
So..Good old Google...A Tufted Titmouse has
just about everything you could ask for in a
backyard bird. Petite and strikingly elegant,
it's as perky as a chickadee. In fact, it's a
cousin to the chickadee. ... And “mouse,” from
a word applied to any small bird, as well as that
little rodent....So there we have it..I've learnt
summat to~day, or rather re~learnt summat to~day...
Amen! 😉 😃

Oh! There is summat l do know about Hens not laying..
At 15-18 months of age, and every year thereafter,
chickens will replace their feathers. Feathers will
fall out to make room for new feather growth. During
this time, hens will stop laying eggs....
Also..
Hens may lay fewer eggs due to light, stress, poor nutrition,
molt or age. Some of these reasons are natural responses, while
others can be fixed with simple changes and egg laying can return
to normal...
So Henny..Can l suggest you install Cable TV in there hen house,
and cheer them up a bit...Can l suggest the film/DVD of the film
'Chicken Run' they will love that..Probably give them 'shell' shock,
and get them laying again..Cluck! Your picture of the hens' picket line is so funny. Those little ladies just don't want to get their feet wet! You will have to show us a picture of your natural fence sometime. I bet it is really coming along. I never heard your Grandma's saying about rain - that is a new one to me. Well, we still have a lot of snow here and some people still don't have power. And they are forecasting more snow this weekend! I hope Poppy's daughter and her family have done ok with all the snow. I know where she lives - in fact we have driven through that town.
