Garden disasters are so discouraging and frustrating after all the work you put in. I feel the same way, but then the next season rolls around and I'm right back in there, trying to grow things. We left all things growing behind when we moved up the coast to Georgetown except the lemon and lime trees and I miss walking outside to pick things to add to the pot when I'm cooking. Our biggest problem has been keeping them safe. Once our hens die of old age, I never want more than three or four, ever again. We've lost four hens this summer, and it always makes me sad.
