There are so many gorgeous wildflowers that I wish I knew more about. We lived in San Antonio for several years and loved the bluebonnets so much we gathered seeds and planted them in an undeveloped space behind our back yard. They thrived and were spectacular in the spring. We waited to mow until they were ready to reseed themselves so we'd have them again the next year. Your yard is absolutely gorgeous!Peghttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03309987428045299558noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-971541568171657986.post-43612906264353583772015-04-21T07:44:58.976-07:002015-04-21T07:44:58.976-07:00Well, you always seem to have a trade off between ...Well, you always seem to have a trade off between beauty, and something unappealing! All of your lovely flowers and blooming fields, in contrast to the freezing winter, and another thunderstorm on the way. Not to forget the snakes, Like some of your other readers have mentioned, it might be a good idea to put your boots on! Love your photos of your Spring flowers. I only have crocuses that are showing up. I'm thinking of planting some pansies since they can be planted early. Since this is our first Spring here I'm really not sure what flowers I might see. I do know the field is full of daisies at some point and I'm looking forward to that. SNAKES.....they stop my heart. I have many stories of coming across them as a child when least expecting them and I have lived with a fear of them since. I am terrified of them and will run the opposite direction. I wear high boots now on this property just in case I come across one. And I'm sure I will :{Debhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06817710263282488135noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-971541568171657986.post-47752409057656709292015-04-20T17:57:19.447-07:002015-04-20T17:57:19.447-07:00Rat snakes don't bother me much, I don't t...Rat snakes don't bother me much, I don't think I've ever had one not slither away from me as fast as he could go. They're even better than cats at keeping the rodent population down. However, I never went out in the unmowed part of the yard without boots on ever since I nearly stepped on a copperhead. Apparently, they tend to freeze rather than run.Denny144https://www.blogger.com/profile/17531412274113797877noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-971541568171657986.post-21816604719609798552015-04-20T17:26:48.822-07:002015-04-20T17:26:48.822-07:00Thanks for showing all the beauty!
