You're right, it is just a quiet break before a new, busy year begins. Wish I knew how to knit. I need a new hobby. Your decorating is so beautiful. I think I would enjoy it longer too. The mood just hit me to clean up. The week between Christmas and New Years is wonderful and somehow seems like time outside of time without any responsibilities calling for action. Just reading, knitting, looking at flower catalogs (which started coming weeks ago) and today some yard work since it was warn enough to be outside for a change.

Victoria in Indianavichttps://www.blogger.com/profile/18428581552807859803noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-971541568171657986.post-69326841525240268162013-12-28T14:23:16.070-08:002013-12-28T14:23:16.070-08:00You really wanted it over! I like the oil lamps on your mantle- and the gun near the fireplace opening (are those deer hooves holding it?) - Such a nice home, and the donkey has one, too! You inspire me to get going on putting Christmas away- and organize it, too. Thank you for sharing.Kansas Kayhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11079901288978941255noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-971541568171657986.post-18342490932588137402013-12-28T11:34:03.401-08:002013-12-28T11:34:03.401-08:00I always thought that most people left their Chris...I always thought that most people left their Christmas decorations up until New Years. Through blogland I've come to realize that many don't. In fact I read somewhere that someone had theirs down Christmas night:( I suppose if you have had them up a long time.... We don't get ours up very early, and put the last of them a day or two before Christmas. Now we just like to sit and enjoy them, without the hustle and bustle of the pre-Christmas stuff. By New Years Day though, I'm ready for them to be gone:)Karenhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08938874724231860923noreply@blogger.com
