What a beautiful sight. And neat to look forward to each spring. Glad your weather is improving, and congratulations on finishing all the clean up! The guineas have grown to be beautiful, and they are great watch dogs as well. I love your posts, they make me feel like spring is finally here! I'll have to look around and find a basket that's about the right size and fill it up with this, that and the other. I spend half my time trudging back to the house or garage to get a ball of twine, or my scissors, or clippers etc., etc. That would give me so much more time to do something useful.

However, I don't think that I would pack in a gun----although it would come in handy dealing with the abundant deer that we have around here. You'd think that living in a closely packed neighborhood, near town and campus, and on a fairly busy street would deter them. My husband insisted I have a gun with me at all times ever since the episode with the two pit bull dogs that came running toward me one morning when I was out feeding the animals. I started screaming, Dan came running, tripped and fell...trying to save me. My screaming scared the dogs off. He says I could at least shoot in the air to scare off a dog.
