Mine succumbed to the heat about a week ago and now I have to buy them at the farmers market but they aren't as good as those right from the garden.
I have to wait until my cat is sound asleep to cut out a pattern. We really need a shower. Just before dark I need to water all the potted plants up at the garden. I think we have an antique scythe hanging on the back porch for decoration. I've wondered before how in the world anybody could actually use it. It looks so awkward! Physically removed from the scene we can relax and enjoy just messing around and not feel guilty. I'm all for it.

A nice thundery, rainy day here today. So nice not to have to water out in the hot humid yard, or do any weeding or mow the lawn. But with all the rain we have had lately I may need a tractor to get through the grass since there is either definite rain or scattered thunderstorms forecast through till next weekend here. Maybe a scythe would be the thing to use if the grass gets too tall. I do have one that my husband found at an auction but I've never been able to get the right arm motion down to use it effectively. Probably from lack of trying, you think?vichttps://www.blogger.com/profile/18428581552807859803noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-971541568171657986.post-32881602069686074652016-08-13T13:57:47.249-07:002016-08-13T13:57:47.249-07:00My dog was given an old teddy bear when she was yo...My dog was given an old teddy bear when she was young. I was curious about the pomodoro variety and looked them up. Pomodoro is the Italian word for tomato! I'm glad you took some time off to do something besides work. My mother in law loved to sew; she make lots of clothes for anyone and everyone and lots of quilts. She used a twin bed with a cardboard cutting board like that . She had my father in law cut some pieces of a 4x4 into blocks and put them under the bedposts to raise the bed so she didn't have to bend over so far. Something like that might help your back. Have fun with your calico.Peghttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03309987428045299558noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-971541568171657986.post-17106893889981636732016-08-13T13:10:37.030-07:002016-08-13T13:10:37.030-07:00Loved your post today, and I'm glad you had a ...Loved your post today, and I'm glad you had a respite from the hot yardwork!
